More sound problems and an importing question

    When I load a game, the sound volume is very high. Then I just quicksave the game, enter a new area or something like that, and the sound level is fine again. How can I fix this?

    If I import my BG1 character to BG2, will he keep his Cure Lights Wounds and Slow Poison abilities?

    [​IMG] Get the latest drivers for your sound card. Alternatively, you can turn the volume down in the game, if you're too lazy to turn the knob on the speakers.

    As for importing, yes, the special abilities are one of few things that actually import. They won't last long though, once you get the Slayer change ability (in Spellhold), they will be removed from your character.

    [​IMG] Err I have this problem too. So what must one do "to get the latest drivers for their sound card"? Here's an important part, is it free?

    Of course it's free... All drivers are free. ;)

    Find out which sound card you have, find it's official site and the support pages, and download the latest drivers. Unless you have some age-old card that's not supported any more... That could be a problem.

    [​IMG] Apparently the sound problem was fixed with the latest TotSC patch (which I forgot to install after reinstalling because of the NPC sound problem :rolleyes:).

    I often use www.drivershq.com

    You still have to know what sound card you have though.....

    Lusk, you will keep the abilities till half of the game... However they are less usefull in BG2 in my opinion...
