    I think I've been playing for 15 hours at least and I'm still on Chapter 2! Approximately how much time does the game take to complete ? If you try to do all the quests..

    Is it even possible to do all the quests ?

    Oh yeah, another question: When I first arrived in the Promenade I visited all the shops and in the Armorer/Fletcher shop there was a table. I checked it and one of the 2 shop-keepers turned hostile (the container wasn't locked :/) so I got out and closed the door. Is this a problem ? Am I gonna need this guy for something later ? He stays hostile for the rest of the game ?

    He'll be hostile for good yes. You can just avoid the shop or reload. I don't think he has anything particularly special in there and nothing is quest related.

    So this means that you can easily steal stuff from Commoner's houses without alerting the guards! Just punch them in the face once and loot the house! (Don't punch them with Minsc cuz Minsc is quite strong and he might hurt them really bad and Boo would disagree)

    Err, I wouldn't count on it. Commoners in their homes have some strange compulsion towards calling the authorities when watching their goods and chattels being ransacked by total strangers...Odd that!!

    Those that can (or feel they can) defend their property will often do so without calling the police....ie the armourer.

    [​IMG] To answer the original question: it is impossible to do ALL quests in one run of the game, if for nothing else, then because some of them are class-specific like all the ones that come from different strongholds. Still, you can do about 70% of all in-game quests in one run I'd say. It will take you about 200-300 hours to do every single thing you can do with one character during the course of the game.

    I believe in my longest run i completed some oh 100+ quests.

    It took me about 6 days of unhealthy playing, about 20 cups of coffee and a perfect memory of every room from the last couple times i'd beaten it.

    And just wait until the expansion comes out. And think about BG1 and BG2 as one big game (continuing story) and import your BG1 character to BG2. Think of all the gameplay hours then :D

    One of the most greatest sentences in the game I found, was: "Step aside please, while I help myself through your belongings" (Inside a commoners house)
    I once chose that sentence, to see what happened, but I wasn't able to tell it to anyone else...

    The armour/fletcher do sell arrow of dispelling, which is very useful against all spell caster (including lich) and as far as I know, this is the only place you can obtain arrow of dispelling in large quntity.

    What? A shop in BG2 with arrows of dispelling! Let me at them! *runs in and buys a hundred of them*

    Anyone know if you can buy arrows of detonation from somewhere?

    Kinda unrelated, but once I had to avoid the entire Bridge District because I tried to pickpocket someone in the Five Flagons, and everyone chased me into the street. Trying to steal stuff is annoying though, I thought it would be safe while the owner was sleeping, but no....

    Finally finished the game last night after 4 months of playing it non stop approx 2 hours a day and 4-8 hours on a weekend. I have completed 95% of the sub quests and a romance. 75 days in game time.

    As for stealing , I did'nt have any trouble stealing from residents , if you are going to nick something from a house and there is a door between you and the resident , just close the door and nick away.

    I you dont steal anything it is also worth while just to unlock the chest etc for XP.

    How exactly did you finish the romance? And with whom? I think the last reaction I had in my romance with Aerie (after I did not sleep with her) was when I slept with Phaere. She didn't talk to me from the time of that outburst until the end of the game... :(
