Being from Montreal, Canada, we use the metric system in all things; except height and weight.

    Why? No one knows....

    BTW i'm 5'8''.

180 cm. And I have two foots and no inches. Have yet to see a person with 6 feets.

No inches? No wonder you're not popular with the ladies. :shake: 5'11" BTW, if you want to vote. :)

(P.S. the plural of foot - with any meaning - is feet. Neither foots nor feets is correct.)

WiZinc, we don't fall when we're this tall... we have larger feet, so we are more stable (I have size 14 US... 13.5 UK, 49 EU, 32 CM). Plus, we weigh so much, that you couldn't push us over :p ;)

I'm 175 cm, and I don't care what it does in inches since all the world uses cm.

Measuring in at a 1.86 meters. Or:
    Code:
    1 foot = 0.3048 meter
    1 inch = 0.0254 meter
    1.86 meter = 6*0.3048 + 1*0.0254 + 0.0058 = 6'1'' + 0.5 cm
And there you have it. Might I add that I positively despise the imperial system? I mean, have you ever tried a unit analysis of an equation in the imperial system? Well, you shouldn't. The sheer horror of it all is enough to make babies cry. And you don't want to make babies cry, do you?

My country uses metric, but for some reason I've always preferred imperial for measuring heights. I'm six feet exactly, which seems short for my generation.

    Actually, you're 6 feet 1 inch, not 6 feet 10 inches. 186 cm = 73 in approximately. 72 in = 6 ft + 1 in = 6 ft 1in.

174 cm, but since some "third world countries" haven't understood the logic of the SI system yet, I was unable to vote. In Norway we adopted the SI system around 1880 (or the metric system as it was called back then), because the other one was considered old-fashioned.

Glad I'm not the only person around here who prefers the metric system. But I'm still amazed at how tall most of you are.
