I really don't think that's fair, BA, and Kitrax you should know better as well.

It's insults and ignorance like that which has caused problems anyway. You will get fanatics of every religion, you will also get people who will use religion as an excuse for violent ends and reasons for unacceptable behaviour. But there is absolutely no reason to mock the way a religion is practiced or what they worship.

 

As long as there are people claiming that their religion condones the wholesale slaughter of those who are not of the religion then we'll damn well insult said religion as much as we like.

Oh come on, it's a joke; I guess a few people in this thread ought to be raising their hands as well. Not to mention that this is most likely a picture of the very people who are rioting because they can't take a joke, right in the middle of rioting! If singling out the exact people you're making fun of is generalizing, I must have really missed something in English class.

I find this just as funny as a bit on Mind of Mencia when he showed a picture of two attractive actresses with raised arms after saying, "Raise your hand if you want to bone Carlos Mencia."

 

If the picture actually had anything to do with Barmy's line, it would be funny. But it isn't.
