I have the same view on pornography and strippers. I would rather be having sex, than watching someone else having sex. ;)

Yes, Cucchulainn, I never saw the draw with strippers or pornography either. Strippers are great for a bachelor party or to start a boy's night out but to go to a strip joint alone is creepy. Every time I would go to the strip joint I would spend my time talking to the strippers and paying for one of their drinks rather than having a table dance.

Pornography, while fun to leaf through or watch is not the real thing and one who relies on it too much is missing the whole social aspect of having a woman. But to each their own.

As for celebrities, they are the ideal unattainable woman. Beautiful, rich and unattainable. While great to admire their beauty it is wrong to let it consume you. Go out and get what you can in the real world for that is what counts.

As regard to puberty, I am glad I went out and had my fun sleeping around. I took a few knocks, learned a few lessons, had a lot of fun, met a lot of people and learned what type of girl I needed rather than wanted. Now that I have met a woman who is independent, smart, sweet and adores me, I wouldn't jeopardize that for the world with the other trivial things.

Huh...so my fiance saw this thread and asked to read it...so I let her. After laughing at most of you (and me), she suggested that I use Maurolava's link to the 99 most desirable women in 2005 and choose my top ten, then she would add her two cents to my list...so here we go!

Starting from #1 on the top 99 list, my top ten are:

    #6: Charlize Theron (Kit's choice:3) (Kit's Fiancé’s choice:6)
    #19: Halle Berry (Kit's choice:4) (Kit's Fiancé’s choice:2)
    #23: Elisha Cuthbert (Kit's choice:1) (Kit's Fiancé’s choice:3)
    #35: Keira Knightly (Kit's choice:2) (Kit's Fiancé’s choice:5)
    #43: Brook Burke (Kit's choice:6) (Kit's Fiancé’s choice:1)
    #53: Jennifer Love Hewitt (Kit's choice:7) (Kit's Fiancé’s choice:7)
    #67: Catherine Zeta-Jones (Kit's choice:8) (Kit's Fiancé’s choice:8)
    #77: Heather Graham (Kit's choice:9) (Kit's Fiancé’s choice:10)
    #79: Zhang Ziyi (Kit's choice:10) (Kit's Fiancé’s choice:9)
    #90: Amanda Bynes (Kit's choice:5) (Kit's Fiancé’s choice:4)

So our choices in women are a tad different. Some of her more preferred women didn’t make my list, but we still like most of the same women, just at different levels. :rolling:

To each his own I guess.
There's not much I'd turn down to be fair, any holes a goal and all that. A shag's a shag at the end of the day.
But I respect people who can turn people down and wait for the right girl.

Amen to that Barmy. I could only turn down sure-sex for the following reasons:

    1) She's got a disease
    2) She's taken
    3) I'm taken
    4) As Winston Churchill noted, When I'm drunk, I'm drunk for the night, but if the girl is ugly when I'm drunk, then she'll be really ugly when I'm sober, so no thank you :p

Not to say that I'm a jerk or insensitive or anything like that :p

    @Kitrax

Hell yeah, Elisha Cuthbert, woohoo!

Hmm, of the list, Kate Beckinsale.

Overall- Anna Kournikova. My (as yet) unrequieted love for her continues.

I can see the appeal in some of the women on the poll, but I am really surprised at how many people think that Halle Berry is desirable.

As for Zhang Ziyi, I don't think she would even get a mention if she was not in 'Memoirs of a Geisha' and those cheesy martial arts movies that made it big in the US.

Did anyone see those photos of bin Laden's niece recently? wow!

I'm wondering when the lot of you got lost in the fantasy world of celebrities Valentining SPers. Quit bringing Reality into the Delusion! :grr:

I was under the impression that this was 'make believe'. If you want reality, then I choose my brother-in-law. ;)

If we're going to fantasize let's really do it. I want either Saravok or a slave to do my housework.

... Nakia, you just gave me the mental image of Sarevok in a pi'nk frilly apron...

I probably won't even have to state who my absolute dream Valentine outside that list is, since everyone is probably sick of hearing about it by now :p

;) It's ok Ara, if I weren't married then you would have to share your un-named valentine with me. Too bad he is married also.

My valentine is my wife of 11 years, whose birthday just happens to be Feb 14th. We are bit unique in this day and age, neither one of us has slept with anyone other than each other. Yes, we were virgins when we met, and we were virgins until our honeymoon. The only danger for us when having unprotected sex was having another child.

Yeah, chasing real people is always better than dreaming about someone you can't get or watching porn or whatever. Besides, I don't think it's faithful to one's partner to dream about a celebrity. Considering a celebrity attractive and enjoying a look is one thing, dreaming and fantasising is another. As for porn, people have various reasons to watch it and various approaches, but when it becomes the porn mag and Mrs Palm scenario, that's unfaithful.

And, Newfie, you sound surprisingly insecure for all those assertions. Are you sure everything is okay? ;)

[IMG] I see there's a whole crew of hijackers aboard this thread. A lot of these posts here are either off-topic, or mild borderline candidates for PM, or both off-topic and in the wrong forum (think discussions of sexual morality and safety in sexual relations for AoDA). Really, just say who your fav 10 are and be done with it.

I am very secure, chevalier. (Sorry Beren for continuing this off topic discussion here).

I don 't have any problems. If you think going out with a lot of women means insecurity, nah, I was just having fun and couldn't settle down. It was a groove I got into in my twenties and kept until I met a girl who whacked some sense into me. Meaning, there's a second half to a relationship. Cheating, drinking and partying became a lifestyle until the money ran out. And you realize women in their thirties are looking for something more than a roll in the hay. So the sex dried up because I offered none of that.

Time to change my lifestyle around. Went back to school, got my Marine Engineering ticket, bought a house and now I have what real women are looking for. Still had my smoothness from my twenties and lots to offer besides. I think about the second half now and that is the key to maintaining a relationship. It's the part I didn't do before. Very secure, very happy.

[ When I narrow a topic down to very specific parameters, keeping it going is never an option. A weak apology and continuing on regardless makes this not less, but more culpable. I really don't want to see any more of this. ] - Beren

Beren, why does the topic have to be shifted over to another forum? It started here and fits under the love and relationship topic. Hey, I'll gladly conform to what you say, but why to the Alley of Dangerous Angles? Is this an underage forum here? If my apology seemed weak I'll turn it into a strong confrontational statement. I didn't know my options were so limited. Grow up.

[IMG] 1. It started in a thread that has nothing to do with it. Read the first post to see what would be on-topic. Hint: has to do with the poll.

    2. The original topic fits roughly in the "love and relationship" category, however any serious discussions here are reserved for AoDA. Given the nature of Whatnots, this is quite obvious to most people. And has been explained in Beren's post.

    3. Arguing with any of the mods publically, combined with insults, is not only stupid, but also against the forum rules you've agreed to follow upon registration. I suggest you go read them now if you haven't yet. You can also check the FAQ for more info on the plaque you've earned yourself.
