where are the best spots to pickpocket, break in to houses and nick stuff from stores?

 

Run around and loot stuff, I'm sure you'll make a lot of dough. Try the Government District homes...also there is a Larael's Tear necklace upstairs in the Five Flagoons...there is a fatso gaurding it though so you'll have to bonk him over the head not to alert the guards....Larael's Tear Necklace sells for about 1000-1500 gold...

Another thing to try is save first, kill the person, or group of people, see if they carry anything decent and then pickpocket them if they do...

Gem bags come in handy here...

I guess you know about Ribald having a ring of regeneration? I have found many guards with spell scrolls. Use Lord Savervok's idea and kill them all to find out which ones have them.

 

I basically specialised in shoplifting, I like to pickpocket the fat barkeeper in Maer'Var's thief guild - I usually steal stuff that is +2 or better for the higher the enchantment the better is your price later (weird enough: a leather armor +3, inferior in protection to a studded leather +2 gives a better price)

Also nice is to loot the first floor of the house of this guy who's supposed to have killed Anomen's sister you can even do so with him in your party - no rep loss since you are attacked instandly, nice little fight, nice though average loot, spears +3 iirc - the best is that it doesn't endanger the Anomen quest when you loot *1st floor only* (*do NOT loot the basement*).

Since I virtually opened any lock I found (just to keep in training) and looted what I found I cannot really remember what I wound where exactly ...

Hey, I really dont think stealing is worth the trouble. Money is never a problem in the game. Ended up with 160000 GP in the end. And as far as I know there isn´t anything really usefull to steal throughout the game.. You could try to steal the ring of gaxx and have 2 but that is considered cheating!

 

Of course you'll have more than enough money in the end, but it's nice to have money when you need it. Besides, burguralizing homes is very fun indeed!

 

The noblelike merchant in the trademeet could be the perfect target for any ignoble.

 

Wow, I just looted Saerk's estate with my solo Assassin. Great fun! I just love lurking around in the shadows and backstabbing inept guards! Plus there was tons of loot!

Goodfellaz, where can you steal the Ring of Gaxx from?

 

You pickpocket Kangaxx before talking to him. It nets you the ring. Kill his two forms and you will be rewarded with another Ring of Gaxx. This is fixed in the latest patch IIRC, plus it's cheating, so don't try it.

Ahem, it has *not* been fixed with the latest patch and it is a bug exploit and *not* a cheat. The ring is very useful but there are other nice rings around that are just as good - though this certainly depends on your char.

And it isn't that easy either. And anyway, it is a challenge for any thief or bard char (without potions of master thievery of course). I actually found out about it accidentally, but my thiefs are all cleptomaniacs

 

Interestingly, one of the genies in Trademeet has a bottle of Efreeti summoning, which you can pickpocket. Don't know why, I thought that genies and efreeti hate each other.

 

Um, maybe he trapped one inside a bottle. Like Jon Irenicus's genie, whoever controls the bottle commands it.

 

I like to pick pocket the people in the docks dist.......although I do not get very much
