When is Anomen going to get that "sir" before his name, and some other bonuses as well? I have just got Anomen to accept what that guy in Council of Six building says but after that, nothing happens. Should I go to somewhere and do something or what? :)

And the other question is, what happens after I pay that 15000gp to Shadow Thieves? I have now more than 60000gp with me, but I want to finish some quests and rise my party to level 12 or something before I get back to rescuing Imoen.. Spoil me, do I just get another quest after paying that, or will I be forced to travel immediatly out from Athkatla?

Well if you pay the Theives you do some of their dirty work for them. If you Pay Bohdi, you do her dirty work. Bother (if i remember right) have 3 quests. first two pretty much pointless, then the last one is major...

OK, thanks. I'll then pay that as soon as I visit Slums again.

for the anoment question. you have to wait for a little while and a knight of the order will come deliver him a message that it is time for him to take the 'test'. all you have to do is go to the order and talk to the knight that delivered the message, and anomen will take the test. there is no way for him to fail.

PS- one strange thing about anomen i've noticed is that he is LAWFUL NEUTRAL!!! knights have to be lawful GOOD! dont they?

After Anomen passes his knighthood test, his alignment changes to Lawful Good and his wisdom increases 4 pts to 16 which gives him additional Level 1-3 cleric spells.

In my case, Anomen passed the test but I don't think that's automatic. I believe it depends on how you influence him to react after his family "crisis".

    [spoiler ahead]

With my evil party I'm enjoying drawing the arrogant brat to the dark side at the moment...

If you encourage Anomen to go and avenge his sister, you get the large building at the center of the bridge district marked on your map as the home of the opposing family. Entering it, and going into the large central chamber on the first floor, the game will run in script mode for a moment, where you can enjoy seeing Anomen striking down the poor innocent daughter of the rival merchant in cold blood. An eye for an eye so to say. After that a fight ensues in which the rival merchant and his bodyguard will get slain as well, but his son Yusef escapes, swearing revenge...

Some time later, when it's time for his test, Anomen will get thrown out of the Order for his vile deed, he runs out cursing and swearing, and you have quite some trouble preventing him from getting himself killed either at the hands of the radiant Knights or your own party ;)

He will then have changed his alignment to chaotic neutral (showing his true face :p ) and I suspect there's yet more to come...

I think Anomen is the best worked out character in the game. A guy at the edge, struggling against his heritage and his darker side, while he simply doesn't really believe in all the empty bravado he spouts.

Quite a typical aspiring Knight I think. He In lawful neutral, he memorises all the values and ideal of Knighthood, but does he believe in them? He's too arrogant and ambitious for his own good, and all that order and justice and righteousness business, is it only facade?
    You decide! ;)

With my better party he became a true Knight and TRULY lawful good at the end (in the beginning he only THINKS he is, like so many a Knight), my lawful evil sorceress has already drawn him down a good step... I wonder if it goes further... :D

It reminds a bit of the great way Planescape: Tormenet handled your main character's alignment (the way you played decided), with the additional bonus that Anomen can be such an ass to begin with. Embrace the Dark side, loudmouth... hehehehe...

Does he stop talking like an ass when he turns good? If so, I might decide to keep him.

Knights don't actually *have* to be lawful good; only paladins have to be lawful good. Knights can certainly be lawful neutral, since Helm is a lawful neutral god and there are a whole heap of lawful neutral knights hanging around his temple. Anomen, though, does turn good if he passes his test. (He turns chaotic if he doesn't.)

Unfortunately, he doesn't get a new set of action commands when he changes his personality. It's raelly too bad they skimped on that. It's very irritating to hear Chaotic Anomen yelling "for honor!" or whatever, or Good Anomen continuing with the petulant whining. In his dialogues after the alignment change his tone changes considerably (making him a much more tolerable character--he even apologizes to Keldorn for being such an ass to him earlier). But the action comments and voice set will never change.

    The Sir Anomen question:
After some time in the game (I heard it depended on level) after you did his family quest in the right way he will be knighted.
He changes to lawful good, gets happy and 4 points of Wisdom. (and something for morethe girls)

[IMG] Christina, where have you heard such thing? Don't tell me: on Iron-*spit*-worx. :flaming: Please girl, most info there are just lies or speculations.

No, it does not depend on level - it depends on time. Ingame time. So rest a lot. It does slightly depend on real time ONLY in case you're romancing him.

    Ok, that is about time.
About how he becomes a knight - that's another story.

He will become a knight only if Saerk is not dead WHEN YOU HAVE A ROMANCE WITH HIM.

If you don't romance Anomen, your reputation must be 10 or higher AND Saerk must not be dead so Anomen can become a "Sir".
That means you can spare Saerk, but if your reputation is lower than 10, Anomen won't become a knight.

I could skip all this and never reply. But gaining WIS+4??? :toofar:

    [EDIT]
Namuras, no CHR modifier, just WIS=16 and alignment modifier. It was sarcastic, yes, but I wanted to provoke HER answer.

Umm, Extremist, he does get +4 wisdom (as has been noted before in this thread). He gets a charisma bonus too, if I recall correctly. His modified wisdom score is written in red.

Then of course, maybe you know this already and are just being sarcastic.:)

Will the family still be there after Anomen becomes a Sir?

As far as I remember, the guard won't let you into the house because Anomen's father is displeased with him.

Extremist, maybe you were speaking to me: Don't call me Christina. I can't help being born with that name and having it in my e-mai address, but I don't have to accept it. Thanks. And, hey, everyone can be worng, there's a lot of nonsense on this board, too, so you could stay nice.

Excuse me Tina. Yes, I was talking to you. I'm sorry for calling you with full name.

And no my dear - there is NO nonsense on this board. All questions here are answered fully. No lies. No speculations (unless it is such thread). Some funny comments can appear, of course, BUT NO NONSENSE!!!
That other site NEVER gives a full answer to a person that asks a question. You see, from time to time I do visit that forum, just to see if they stole/copied anything from me. That's how I know this.

Whatever. For me, posting in this thread is over. All about Anomen becoming knight I sintetized as you can see above - what should I post more?

And do please forgive me, but i hate that Iron-*spit*-worx so much that I misused a liberty of this forum and instead of keeping up the mind with the topic...Doh!
So sorry again. But one day, you'll see the quality difference between that spammer/thief/copycat place and this place.

    [EDIT]

Tina, you'll know why I'm posting this:

No - if you want to finish romance with Anomen, you DON'T have to make him knight.

[IMG] Tina, you just wait, there is something cooking here in SP kitchen... Something you'll NEVER find on that other site unless they copy/steal it like everything else...

Wait for few more days ;)
And you'll see how to successfully finish romance with Anomen who is not knight.

I happened by the rival family's home prior to anomen's sister being murdered by them. As a result, I looted their home and killed their servants before the Anomen "situation". When we arrived, the main papa was home and his demise was academic. I'm not sure if you can actually get inside that particular richfolk home if you reject the revenge quest. Interesting to find out. Always remember... beware of Anomen's prowess with the spear, right sorvo? :aaa:

Actually I just visited again to post a quite sarcastic reply to extremist's former comment. But I changed my mind. Guess my charisma drops to 1 when people woho I don't even know start calling me "my dear". Brgh.
Well, though I don't see what it might be good for you got me curious about the CN Anomen romance.
