could everyone send in the locations of all
the liches in the game, I wanna wack em all
didnt find kangaxx yet but he's gonna burn

There is one in the Gate area. You have to search for secret doors in the inn.

I believe that there is also one in the graveyard, but I'm not 100% sure where.

Start with the one in the GATE and see if you still have a lich appetite! The battle is H*ll, but the pay-off is worth it!

BTW - you talk about walking through most of these "difficult" fights. Are you playing the game straight or addicted to Shadow Keeper? Just curious.

 

Sorry don't know the complete answer. There is one you've just dealt with plus another in the tombs in the Unseeing Eye quest and another in the Mage's tower in the Underdark. I also think that you have a lich if you do the Goldan Lich quest (something like that can't rememeber the exact name - in the bridge area I think). If you don't get a comprehensive reply to the post, try looking at one of the walkthroughs. You don't need to read the whole thing just using a 'search' or 'find' command using the word 'Lich'. Just did the liches in chapter 2, so can only tell you about those: Under the sewers beneath the temple district, near the unseeying eye outcasts, there is a coffin with a shadow lich together with a part of kangaxx. In the bridge district in one of the southwest houses there is an elemental lich with the other parts of kangaxx. Kangaxx's quest starts and ends in the docks district in the house between Mae'var's guild house and the sea bounty inn. You have to kill him and his change in a demi lich to get this sweeet ring of gaxx. There's a 'lich in the wall' in the tavern in the Gate district, but you already got that one. When I was doing ALL the chapter 2 quests and at the end of doing all, I also encountered three or four random liches together with greater mummies and skeleton warriors in the dungeon of imuanator which is corrupted with shadows. I think that was because of the high level of my party ( kensai lvl 17, edwin lvl 15, yoshimo lvl 18, keldorn lvl 15 ), because I always got bone golems in this part on earlier occasions. Then there is another lich guy behind the 'rogue stone door' (Yes, you need a rogue stone to do this) on the side of the elemental lich building in the bridge district. He is reinforced with a beholder, a vampire, a fighter and a mage with the sweeeet staff of the magi. An easy way to get them fast and without losing a single hit point or spell is using the traps of your thief, which hit ALWAYS and EVERYTHING. This is almost like cheating, they ought to change that.I think I got all them chapter 2 liches now, I think you already knew most of this, but just repeating them all to try and be complete. Hope this helps.

 

well u got most of them listed down there Igneous but in the underdark there is one trapped in a big box which seems to take peoples souls for all eternity blah blah blah.... but that one is pretty hard, dependig you don't know that it is there, because you normaly use protections before them.

 

There is also one in Spellhold when you go southeast from the main room.

exp, few scrollz there is also one in the tower in the drow city,need a rope first though

 

so far i have came across three extra liches

1st. in the temple of the amunator in the dead end room of the burning carpet.

2nd. by the word square again in the temple of the amunator

3rd. under spell hold where the green stone amulate is found.

I found them all good battles due to the additional fodder around (zombies etc).

 

It's been posted here on this forum a few times before regarding "uniquely spawned Liches". I recall those that have HIGH level characters in certain areas or HACKED characters seem to trigger more of these spawnings.

Of course that means that most players will only run into the standard Liches in the game. I believe 6 in (uhh, related to) Athkala and 2 in the Underdark.

Kangaxx, Elemental, Shangalar,Unseeying Eye Lich, Gate district Lich, Nether Scroll Lich, Underdark Imprisoned Lich, Ust Natha 'psycho' Lich.

The ones that spawn in the Shade Lord quest seem (?) to trigger only for HIGH level or HACKED parties. I've gone there after the Underdark but never could get any to spawn for me. Then again my characters were legit and also I had already wiped out the Shade Lord long before setting sail to rescue Imoen. Not sure but that may had something to do with it?

Jup Draco, my chars were also legit, only I used to play chapter 1,2 and 3 with just 3 people in my party to get to high level and then complete my party before I set off to the asylum. And I did ALL the quests in chapter 2, so those 3 were high level when I did the Shade Lord Quest at the end. (I believe around 2.300.000 each.) So there was no hacking involved, the game just made it more interesting for my high level guys with those random liches there.

Random occurences? Yes! They are based on your XP and there are triggers (traps) that summon them, i.e. if you go early for Blind Beholder quest, you'll spot a single lil' one, but if you get there later there will be a bunch of big ones. The trigger for this one is on the stairs as I recall.

 

Then that may be the answer Igneous for my 'No Lich spawn' situation when I returned to the Shadelord dungeon after the Underdark. I had already 'cleaned' up the area long before.

I can only assume these were 'real' Liches that spawned for you? About 10k to 15k each in XP? Hmmmm, I may have to get some of that my next time through BG2.

Just the 22k liches surrounded with greater mummies and skeleton warriors and archers. And no loot from the liches I didn't know there were also lesser liches present in the game? with less exp? A leech is a leech, always the same, except for kangaxx. Maybe you mean vampires by the 10k to 15k thingie?

A friend of mine met a lich in the planar sphere's room with the golems. He had a high level party.
