Yeah, that little zombie girl was the only really scary part of that movie, she was just creepy.

Planet of the Apes, The first ones were masterpiece but the new one stink so bad! It is shameful to deteriorate such great movies. The new Star wars aren't exactely remake but they suck notheless, the old one were so much better

I actually prefered the american Ring. I fell asleep to the japanese version, but was intensely frightened by the remake...

Heres a remake nobody asked for the A*kids. A stands for ABBA. Nobody wants a remake of ABBA. I can't beleive that this group was actually conceived. It does not make any sense. Wait unlessed ABBA has some sick mastermind plan to life on forever by continuing to revive their crap with some brainless teens or whatnot.

Apparently, the new one with "Marky" Mark Wahlberg was actually a lot closer to the original book than the original film version with Charlton Heston. Mind you, I've never read the book/s and I haven't seen the original film in a long time so I really didn't mind the new version.

Has anyone seen The Stepford Wives yet? Is that another remake that deserves to be shamed? Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing our Nic in another film.

I have only seen bits and pieces of the original "Cape Fear", but the remake in the early 90s with Deniro and Nolte was too violent and gory for me -- what I did see of the original lead me to believe that you can be scared by the suggestion of violence more than the graphic display thereof. That said, it was a moneymaker and Deniro, Nolte and their supporting castmembers did a good job -- I was simply unhappy with the writing and directing.

I have yet to see the Japanese original Ring, but given that I have seen a fair amount of Japanese acting (lived in Hokkaido for two years) and did not develop a taste for it, I have little desire to do so. The new Night of the living dead sucked, and I was really unhappy with the new Planet of the Apes -- either I missed something and am really stupid or the plot sucked big time and didn't make a great deal of sense. I'll watch it more closely if someone holds a gun to my head.

As for Willy Wonka, well, I'd have to read the book before I could make much of a judgement, but I think Depp could do an excellent job -- I like Wilder, and I don't think Depp will better him, but I do think he'll do something equally as amazing in his own peculiar way.
