[IMG] Here, I know most of you probably know about these but they're cool still. Post your tips, tricks and such here as well.

Tip: Know that spiffy ring of regeneration? Well you get one normally after killing someone (can't remember who), but there's another one just like that on Ribald in the Adventurer's Mart. Simply pickpocket him.

Tip: Know that Silver Horn of Valhalla you can find pretty early in the game? A shopkeep in Waukeen's Promenade named Maheer (he stands on that wooden porch and is just named Shopkeeper) can improve it for you. Simply find a diamond (as in, gem) and take it to him and ask him if he does anything "special". He'll enchant it for you with the diamond, and instead of the old silver horn summoning a level 5 berserk warrior, it will now summon a level 7 berserker. But that's not it yet.
Find another gem, a beljuril (very rare, one is in a chicken in Umar Hills and another somewhere in Firkraag's lair) and go to Maheer again. Now he'll improve it again with the gem, making it call forth a level 9 berserker!

This supposes you have a higher level cleric and a mage. You'd probably better have a fighter in there somewhere, too. Add 3/4 uses of Cloudkill, a wall of bears, let simmer, and

Before engaging them, use the divine caster to summon some bears(summon animals), preferably 4 or 5. Add any enchantments you would normally use before picking a fight. Include Protection from evil 10' radius, incase of any Pit Fiends summoned. Haste the bears and place them at the edge of the entrance into the main room. Move the fighter closer to the room, engaging in conversation with the lich. Once the others appear, use a wand of cloudkill, or just the spell itself to fire deep into the room repeatedly. Layer the cloudkill some 4-5 layers deep. Be sure it doesn't hit your bears, you just want it to disrupt the spellcasters. Have the bears jump on the Beholder. He'll be dead in seconds, so long as he doesnt get off a mass-kill spell. The vampire and fighter guys are pieces of cake for the bears as soon as they are done. Have your divine caster try to use Miscast magic on the girl in the back while this is going on. You will have to live through a Time Stop or 2, but now its just the lich and the girl. You should be able to melee them both to death (Carsomyr helps), with the aid of some penetration spells. I've done this some 9 times now, and this hasn't failed me except once, when Jaheira got stoned :D and got hit by a Djinn's fireball.

whats a good tip on Gaxx? The only way I could do it (without running in and out of the room) is kill the first form and then use the (immune?) to magic scroll on my main to keep his attention and then had Keldorn and Jaheria (with +5 sling) kill him off.

So far I have only used that one and have been saving the other for Irenicus but might not use it even then if he can be done another way.

I think I did the twisted rune 3 times and finally said the heck with it and accepted the 2 deaths I had.

oh here is a tip that took me a while to figure out. Don't keep once a day charged items in your bag of holding if you have used it. It will no recharge while sitting in it. Least my horn and glasses of ID didn't.

Regeneration rings work faster with boots of speed on.

(And when confronted with a dragon, never forget to cast cloudkill from the fog of war  )

I have just a quick question. What and how do you get the Silver Horn of Valhalla?

this is not an actual trick but something i find very useful.(un)holy smite only wounds (good)evil creatures.so its fun to use area of effect spells on areas in which your brawlers are fighting.just make sure your party isn't (good)evil aligned.

i know not much of a trick but i used it a lot and it is awesome against undead creatures.

Since most of you don't take Haer'Daelis you might not be doing the quest to help Aeries actor friends in the other spheres. Theres some boots of speed and more waiting for oyu over there.
