Burial. I've always wanted to be a zombie. ;) But really, I would rather be buried than toasted.

I would want to be cremated and have my ashes thrown into some forest or other. I won't be needing my body after I die.

Heh...they wouldn't have to keep you in there very long! With the amount of alcohol in your blood, you'd light right up!

Anyway, I would let my family decide...they are the ones who are going to have to pay for it. If they decide to stick me in the ground, I want a kick ass head stone…one that is a few feet tall that looks cool and has a funny quote, like, “Kitrax our old friend, when we said ‘duck’, we meant it.”…And if they decide to cremate me, I want my urn to be a small bronze statue of me, so they will know I'll always be watching them. :rolling:

Somewhere in a scientifical magazine I read that diamonds can be made of the ashes, (in just 20 days...)

Imagine a conversation about a heritage
    - "Here guard this diamond ring well"
    - "Why? Did it belong to grandma?"
    - "No, it IS grandma"

Hmm ... I've always seen myself as being buried and remembered by those that would care. Hopefully I'll make an impact (good) on people's lives (the more the merrier - realising my dream of being in a band) and be remembered fondly.

My epitah/tomestone thing would be something like:

    'Mwahahaha I'm Taf'
    or
'Hop in, its quite cosy down here'

Ahha, awhile ago I read something about a women from PETA(People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) wanting to have each part of her body cut up and made into clothing after she dies, in order to prove some insane point about how cruel doing it to animals is. For example, her skin made into boots! What a way to go! But what I don't understand is, who's going to cut her up? Guess you'd have to hire Tony Soprano or something...

Well you could follow the Dilbert method...

'I want to be buried, so I can leave at least one impression on this world...'

Personally though I would like a Viking Funeral...but of course since I am immortal (hey! With luck like mine it's the only explaination as to why I am still alive!) I won't need one... :D

Now that you mention Viking funeral, have you ever seen the movie where a grandpa dies and his grandchildren make(I don't know if that's the correct word) him a Viking funeral?

    Such funeral is... interesting.

Does it matter? I'm dead. Whether you burn me or chop me in pieces, put me in plastic bags and throw them out of your window when speeding on the highway, I don't care. I'm having a party nontheless.

It doesn't matter for Judgment Day either. God can create me out of nothing by simply snapping His fingers.

For my family and friends, I'd prefer to be buried, though. So I think I'll stick with that.

Not that I'll be in a position to care when the time comes around, but I'm partial to cremation myself. I guess I'm just a tidy person... :) Although first they can scoop out any useful organs and the like for transplants. I won't be needing them anymore.

    Organ donation.

And I'll have my own fire to deal with elsewhere when I'm dead ;) Let those alive decide how they want me.

Personally, I don't really care. I'd rather someone dumped me in a forest somewhere where I can decompose naturally.

[IMG] How my mortal remains are disposed of is of secondary importance. Where their final resting-place is situated is far more important. This is where people will actually be when they visit your grave for whatever reason. This is the place they will think of if they ever catch themselves accidentally wondering where you’ve gone.

I think that visiting a modern (after 1800) municipal graveyard is about as spiritual as visiting a municipal carpark. They look a bit similar too.

If I could find a Will Executor that was open minded enough to follow my final wishes, then I would be cremated and have my ashes buried in the vicinity of two megalithic cairns (chambered graves) a few miles from where I live. They are only accessible on foot by a reasonably fit people.

The whole area is steeped in Celtic Irish Legend, and more importantly in actual antiquity. I want to be buried there for the exact same reason that my ancestors had chosen this spot more than six thousand years ago. I will no doubt explain the reason more fully later, as it is part of my personal Theory Of Life The Universe And Everything, which I am still working on.

Suffice to say, if you are a believer, this is where God sits down to take his mid –morning coffee break.

If you are a non-believer, then there is the unique landscape. There is the stunning view. And there are the almost visible ghosts of the people that had stood in this place mourning the passing of their relatives when the Pyramids were but a twinkle in an Egyptian tyrant’s eye. It all combines to create a force so tangible that it could almost convince you that you had a soul.

    :yot:
This is a completely gratuitous, self-important side note.

Most of the Irish Celtic Legends from the area originate from around the time when Christ was still in his cradle. There is one legend, though, that involves a monument that was constructed some time roughly around 250AD. It is an unobtrusive earthwork that is ‘theoretically’ protected by the Government’s National Heritage Department. Because of my interest in all things mythical and with a bit of bloody-minded perseverance, I was able to stop a house being built on top of this Scheduled Monument. Knowledge is power, and can be found in the most unexpected places. :whoa:

I’m going to put all this stuff on a web-site ‘real soon now’. ;)

When I die I want to be thrown on a bomb fire. Cheapest way of getting rid of me. Unluckly that's illegal :(
