I am doing the game again and have just completed the quest in the sewers between the Copper C and Slavers. Have Lilacor now but was wondering about the Myconoid area. Upstairs there are Myconiods including a King who kills what looks like a Monotaur called an Andorian before you can do anything. One of them says something along the lines of Revenge for fallen loved ones (something like that).

Anyone know what this is about?
Tried a few times to kill the King before he kills the Andorian but no can do. Dies in about 3 seconds.

    Any suggestions

Never found out what was that all about either. Looked as if someone forgot they put that whole area there, since it seemed totally out of place there.

Yes, I´ve been there about half an hour ago and I also found it strange. Nothing left to loot except a scroll of identify.
You come to virtually the same area later in the planar spere, I´m not sure but I think there are Mykos too.

This was really wierd, and seemed totally out of place. I agree that I think they must have had something planned and then forgot about it.

[IMG] I just had an idea. If you wanna try and keep him alive, get one of your mages with an Otiluke's Resiliant Sphere memorized or on a scroll and then cast it on the minotuar dude.

That's what I did in the fight with Coran and that thief bitch (Can't remember her name, and she betrayed you anyway). Coran kept on getting splattered by the werewolves so I cast a resiliant shpere on him and then hacked away at the werewolves while they all stood around trying to hit him

I just made sure my front line fighters were either wearing boots of speed or were improved hasted. My old friend Coran got splatted unmercifully by those weak werewolves the first time(mage must have taken Drizzt mitheral chain mail from him). Since I knew exactly where they would be, I just had my fighters rush the area and come between him and the werewolves. I had to keep an old party member alive, after all :)

That's one fight where spell sequencers came in handy. I tried the Sphere spell, but silly Coran kept saving against it.
