I'm not sure (it's been a while since i've played BG2) but I think there is a sword called the Sword of Balduran.

[IMG] There is... In Baldur's Gate 1 (Tales of the Sword Coast) only, though. Same with the Cloak of Balduran, BG1 only.

Actually, you can buy the Sword of Balduran from Deidre (the bonus merchant in the adventurers mart), along with Plate and shield of Balduran.

Hm, that's right. Still, you can't get the cloak.

And what about the Butterknife of Balduran? The set can't be complete without it.

I don't think it's in BG2. Or at least, I've never seen it.

    How about a singer theme?
A bard with full of bard equipment.

I think that bard theme would work best in a party... get like 3 bards: a jester and a skald for their kit's song, and then another to use the harps you find.

Oh and add horns (of blasting, of silence, and the fighter-summoning one) in there too! They are somewhat musically related, afterall.

    Old thread, but who cares?

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: The Circus Freaks.

Your master of ceremonies, Ronald the Jester.
Ronald: "I'm the PC, you know."

    Cernd, the Wolfman
    Cernd: "This is so undignified."

The master of illusion, Jan Jansen the Mysterious
Jan: "Turnip, bottle. Bottle, turnip." (with apologies to Tommy Cooper)

Prince of the prestidigitators, the lord of legerdemain, Edwin the Conjurer
Edwin: "I need a volunteer from the audience (whom I will make disappear, permanently if you get my meaning)."

And finally, those two loveable clowns, Minsco and Korgan.
    Minsc: "Great fun!"
Korgan: "Next person to laugh gets an axe in the skull."

Actually, that sounds like a pretty decent party. I might just give it a go one day.

Color themes are great. Use Balduran's Sword, Gorgon Plate (or other green armor), Saving Grace( I think that's the green shield) and it looks really cool!

Try a woodland theme: Only leather type armors made from hide, and woodlandish weapons. It was pretty cool.

Insane theme: Chaotic Neutral character with volatile weapos and spells: Chaos sphere, harbringer.

I have tried all of these and they are all pretty cool!

    I like the balduran character.
To bad the cloak and butterknife doesn´t appear in BG2. Imagine the power of a fighter dual-weilding Sword of Balduran and Butterknife of Balduran. Wiho! :D

LoL at Chris... Nice touch with the comments!

How about a 'Radiant Heart' Theme?

You (Female Paladin, for stronghold and Anomen's romance) with Anomen and Keldorn. Then you would only wear items associated with the Radiant Heart in their descriptions.

Or a Nature theme or somesuch (done before, but what the heck): You as an Archer, Beastmaster, Totemic Druid or Avenger. Pick up Jaheira, Cernd (Druids), Minsc and Valygar (Ranger kits) Then only wear items mentioning Nature, Druids, Rangers or stuff.

    Here's one I play - THE RESISTORS:

PC - Barbarian - going for maximum physical resistance (Defender of Easthaven, certain HLA, barbarian reistance, ...)

Anomen - elemental resistor - going for 100% elemental resistance (Dragon Helm, Dragon Shield, Ring of Elemental Mastery, Shadow Dragon Scales, ...) - will end with 100% elemental resistance

Valygar (SK-ed) - Wizardslayer/Thief (dualled at level 10) - magical resistor (10% MR from kit, 50% Carsomyr (after certain HLA), 25% Cloak of Balduran, ...) - will end with 100% MR :D

Not the most powergaming party but still an enjoyable one. ;)
