Maybe you should stop off at a tavern and buy a pummel stoe. Sort out that toe problem. Very unatractive.

[IMG] Awww, the only flaw the little girl has and you have to pick on it. ;) She's a stunning beauty apart from that.

Sarah will ask the swirfneblin(?) merchant, but don't hold your breath, they aren't known for carrying beauty products.

(You meant a "pumice" stone, right? Cause I don't know about pummel stones.)

About Kangaxx and the mace of disruption i think it is scripted in that he will fall fast if he is hit with that. I have defeated him twice with that weapon and i dont think i hit more than once or twice both times. When i meet vampires and other undead it only kills like one out of 20 with the instant kill.

joacqin: you got the mace of disruption +2? I tihnk I read at baldurdash that there was a bug that didn't apply the save throw penalty for the normal mace of disruption

sadly, i have to admit...the more cheating and internet involved games have the most chance of screw ups :(

[IMG] In my experience Mace of Disruption +2 works wonders against liches most of the time and is pretty decent against vampires, especially Fledgling Vampires.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Sarah is now in Suldanesselar ready to start the last chapter!

I estimate that it will take another 3 hours to finish it. I think Sarah's journey through BG2 has taken me roughly 20 hours sofar.

Tomorrow afternoon - after getting some sleep :) - I'll finish it and make the final post on Sarah Stubbletoe's effort. If there is something you wonder about just ask!

[IMG] Sarah Stubbletoe has just finished BG2! It took less than 3 days and about 24 hours playing time. How fast can soloing BG2 be done? This is a challenge to all you veterans! ;)

The Black Dragon was the toughest opponent this time and defeating it took several reloads. Taking it on as a single class thief will be quite a task I think.

Sarah fought most of her last battles with the Flail of Ages +3.
Horn of Valhalla and Spider Figurine were nothing but minor diversions in the last battles often being killed instantly. The simulacrum from Vhailor's Helm has once more proven it's usefulness. Is it too powerful? Maybe.

If necessary Sarah could have used the Slayer transformation, but all through the game she never used it so it's reassuring to know that she had some reserves left unused.

    What next?

    "Tea-Boy"

Solo through BG, then TofTC, then import into BG2 - by then you'll have TOB.

or - go outside and frolic in nature

Either one would be entertaining! ;)

How long do you play for at a time? How many hours of sleep do you get? How many times have you played BG2 before? You must have a lot of spare time!

    two things..

    one: where is your website?
two: the chap in nalia's keep is easy! all you have to do is cast hold on him, he won't save and then the potion he drinks won't matter because he cannot attack..he is then dead very quickly..

  13. Avooch Dar Guest

Erm.....hate to burst your bubble but when you have a solo theif/fighter you cannot cast hold........
I knew pummel wasn't right. Ah well another crap joke down the drain due to my incompetence

the guys fighting spirit coolded down considerably when my halfling fighter-thief Bragonmil placed kashikos wakizashi in his back while he tried to attack my party when it entered the room .... he preferred a healing potion to the potion of invisibility then .... however, he died under constant ranged weapon fire and the melee attacks of my halfling cavalier Sir Donaldus (the 2nd) and Bragomil.

    So my hint is *BACKSTABBING*

Use the ring of human influence on that guy. When it wears off, he'll be turned back into a good guy and give you the flail head and some XP to boot.

[IMG] Very nice idea, petinger! I haven't tried that one yet. :)

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

On the subject of a Challenge:
How fast can you - or dare you - set sail for Spellhold? Getting the gold is easy enough, doing the quest to actually get you sailing is a bit harder.

It would be an interesting change to rush headlong to the aid of Imoen and do all the quests after the big journey.

Well I would take credit but it was Nalia who suggested it. :) When she saw him she said the trolls must have charmed him. You might be able to dispel it too, that was the first thing I tried but I think he hit Jaheira while she was trying to cast it on him so I thought I'd try the ring and it worked. You have to wait a little while before he can talk to you like that, but when he does he is very grateful.

About your comment on the black dragon earl, there is a coward's way out. I saved and then reloaded before i took it but if you have high enough cha(maybe something else also) you can offer him all your equipment and gold. What happens then is that you lose all your gold and everything in your inventory is cleared out except for carrying cases and you get the chalice.

I personally found it much more statisfying to kill him but you can always put all your items into a bag of holding and only lose your gold doing it that way(your gold is pretty useless at that point in the game)

[IMG] I tried that after the game with Sarah and it worked fine with her relatively low charisma of 7.
Not absolutely having to fight any of the dragons is a real relief for soling characters.
