I have mentioned here previously that I like Cyperpunk. But I admit it can get too much to do with hardcore weaponry. D&D has a cool world but is lacking the sense of reality that Cyperpunk has. With reality I mean similarity to this world. But Arcanum takes the best of them both. This looks awesome:

The world of Arcanum is a Tolkienesque fantasy world that has recently experienced an industrial revolution. We have tried to give it the feel and look of the late 1800's Europe, mixed with the remnants of the "Old (fantasy) World". Technology and magic have reached an unstable equilibrium, with technology being on the rise in the last 70 years, and magic being in decline from its once penultimate position in the world. Being a true fantasy world, Arcanum is populated with elves, orcs, humans, dwarves, ogres, gnomes and halflings. However, with the advent of technology, the races' roles in society have radically changed, bringing additional tension to the world.

This is like a childhood dream. Once I played a little AD&D in the army with kris and I asked for a tommygun. He laughed (said I could get one...But I forgot to ask for bullets) Now its reality. Cool concept.

If I have just tempted You a little its nothing next to this: check out the screenshots here:

ups I guess I missed that one when I read "inbetween" the lines of the Basic Forum rules. Perhaps I should have known it since it has no forum.
But thanks for the warning. Your link is great. heh heh ;)

Something completely different:Kris told me to give a special message to some Extremist I guess that could be You, But I shouldn't really post specific messages Because of the Forum Rules. He said something like this; "he couldn't dispell Illusion on a big hairy brute in a bar so he had to drink a few potions of beer and pickpocket ribald to heal himself..." honostly I don't know what he means isn't Ribald just a shopkeeper somewhere... anyway he told me to end it with a :p

I know It was a joke but I couldn't squeeze more out of the eye than this ;)

I am checking up on kris' apartment while he is on vacation. In exchange I can use his computernetwork and free internet. I began to play his BG2 and had a question. When I called him and said his apartment was OK, he told me to ask my question here at sorcerers. I have found out later that kris Use the name "Nobleman". Perhaps You aren't the extremist he mentioned. It had something to do with playing F/M/T. Beats me, what he meant.
