there's a size issue here, IWDII use's a different pixel count (i don't know why) just edit your portraits to 210 X 330(for the big ones) and that should fix it. have fun with the game :D and welcome to S.P. (don't forget to see what you can do to keep S.P. running, donations, submissions and anything else are all welcome :D )

The best way to get them, is to take screenshots from all BG1 portraits you want to use either in BG1 or BG2. Then you must copy portrait from screenshot (I use Paint Shop Pro) and paste it as a new image.

To get small portraits (42x42), you must use some program (preferably some image editing application, but some programs, like Excel work also) to reduce the size of the big portrait. After you get the size you want, you should mark character's head or face or whatever you want from altered picture. Then paste it also as a new picture and save it.

It takes quite long and especially small picture is difficult to make, but at least you get the portraits. :)

S.P. is the best place for downloads if you can't modify the files or resize them well, your on your own.

try Havok's site, sorry don't know the address, but he has tutorials dealing with such prob's, good luck. :D

Harkle's method works, but it's a little more complicated than necessary. I got all my BG portraits through Infinity Explorer. You can select and export any image file in the game with it, and is nowhere near as time consuming as the screenshot method. You should be able to download IE here, but if not a simple Google search will find it for you. If BG1 won't load in your computer, as long as it's still installed then IE should be able to view the files. Then, once extracted, you should be able to resize them with any kind of image editing program like Image Ready, Paint Shop, Photoshop, etc.

It means that he will get into trouble if he keeps using a signature. Perhaps being aware of forum rules may help?

Calm down. We understand you're new. Just read the forum rules and post accordingly. It's not a big deal.

As to your portrait problem...just browse through the portraits page in the IWD2 section. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. Perhaps someone here will be nice enough to make some if they haven't already. If not that, then go to google and type "Icewind Dale 2+custom+portraits" and something will come up. Good luck, and again...calm down and don't take our comments personally. We SPer's just don't take kindly to poor internet etiquette. ;)

Bah it's from Lords of da ring

The ring has only one master, only him can use it as he will, and he doesn't share this power

    I'm no translator though...
