well here is the beginning of the novel I started a while back. It will get to be quite as I have already written quite a bit. This is all I have copied to my PC for now. I hope you enjoy it. As always, please tell me what you think of it.

It was just before dawn on a spring morning. There were few clouds in the sky and dew on the grass. In a small town cut off from any other, there were rolling hills as far as the eye could see with houses on most. In one of the largest of the homes lived a quiet and content dragonian that was quite well off due to the passing away of his uncle. He was still in bed when one of his friends burst into his room like he was being chased by a ghost.

“Luron, Luron, get up! Someone is here in town and he is looking for you!”

Slowly getting out of his bed, Luron sluggishly put on his clothes. He was not much to look at for he was thin, not very muscular mind you, and was rather young for a wealthy dragonian. He was the young age of thirty-five (which is very young considering that dragonians live almost five hundred years). He ran a brush through his shoulder-length, jet black hair. He then proceeded to stretch his and legs and then his rather large and beautiful wings.

“What is it now, Yori?” he asked.
Yori was a few years younger than Luron and was better built too. He was also quite a bit taller than Luron and much better looking with his short blond hair.

“A man without wings is asking about you!” he exclaimed.

“Well what did he ask about?” questioned Luron.

“He asked for the one with golden wings.”

This obviously meant Luron because dragonians, as a rule, have flesh colored wings. Luron had few friends because of his golden wings. Everyone thought him either as bad luck or very peculiar. He was less and less liked because a few people spread rumors that he was the cause of the recent crop failures. His friends knew this was false of course but this didn’t stop the rest of the town from gossiping. Yori had been his closest friend since Luron’s parents had died suddenly. Luron and Yori were brothers at heart and told each other everything. They also got into trouble quite often because of their immature practical jokes.

They left Luron’s bedroom and hurried down the stairs and ran out the door. Once outside the mansion, they took a few steps before leaping into the air to fly. The sun was warm and bright which made flying all the more enjoyable on this fateful day. They flew with all their speed to the pub so that they could find the wingless man. It wasn’t long before they reached their destination. They landed softly in the grass in front of the pub. Luron took a deep breath and braced himself for the ridicule he knew he would get once inside. They walked up the steps and Yori threw the doors wide open. Luron stepped in and immediately all was quiet.

“Where is the man without wings?” he asked sternly.

One of the older dragonians had a disgusted look on his face and said, “Go plague someone else, cursed brat.”

These types of comments always hurt Luron even though he did not show it. He couldn’t understand how others could hate him so, when he had never even been discourteous to anyone.

“Where is the man without wings?" asked Luron.

Right now it's realy too short to judge but it does hold promise.
And it's a dragonlance thing, there are also some weird monsters called dragonkin which are sort of half dragons. Not sure if their the same thing or not though.

The story sounds interesting, but, like Aikanaro said, its a bit too short to tell. Hope to see your next part soon, I'll give you a proper answer then.
