Why Anomen became Chaotic after the test?
Why Haer'Dalis have 2 skill points in short sword when a bard can choose but one?

He lost it. The one thing he worked for all his life is denied to him.
He also gets ** in long swords if you pick him up at L15. I think its because of him being a Blade.
The game cheats.
If you are wise enough. Have someone with atleast 16 Wis talk to the genie before he talks to the caster.

Chain Contingency

 

The why of Anomen.... When you encouraged him to seek revenge it was a violation of the ethics of the Order of the Radiant Heart. Since he sought revenge instead of the lawful approach he was banished from the Order. This turned him against all the Order stood for and his alignment shifted to chaotic neutral. Had he followed the precepts of the Order and sought a legal resolution to his sister's murder he would have passed his test, shifted to lawful good and become Sir Anomen (with a boost to his wisdom).

There are some really good wishes -- my favorite is wishing to be healed and have all spell rememorized.

- Irenicus gota use illegal chain contingency, because many ppl cheat him, ppl cast way more faster than him even w/o contingency
- wish only for wise ppl. Btw, only the caster can talk to him, unlike the limited wish. Has anyone wished miscast on everyone in the area ?
- The merchant is there only if you got the bonus CD. Otherwise you gota cheat her in using CLUAConsolo:CreateCreature("wmart1"). Or just CLUA the robe in and throw 20k to the church

Anomen is great if you can get him to pass that test, but Anomen after failing his test is an absolutely psychotic mess. I mean, he picks a fight with a lot of characters if he fails, including Aerie and Keldorn if I recall. Pretty unstable.

Too bad the 'good' way neats you better reward... as always Does he stay as an Paladin or becomes Fallen? He could change into Fighter, that would make more sense and function as a 'bad' reward.

 

No, he's still a cleric, and if you romance him, he says that Helm knows it's best for him... or whatnot. He becomes more relaxed and easy-going... but you miss a few extra low-level spells.

 

Anomen remains a Cleric, regardless of how the test goes. There is a G3NPCKit mod which changes him into a beserker if he looses the test.
I like the way he goes ballistic after loosing the test. After all a party consisting of LG charecters like Keldron and Aerie should hae advised him on the path that is true. A party with Edwin would ofcourse like him in his Chaotic avatar.

 

Ok, I hate starting new thread for a question, and this is some kind of Q&A already...

I am going with Swashbuckler, whom I want to dual to Fighter(Or Wizard Slayer, I don't know yet). If I dual him at 35 level, and then start new game in BG2, will I get the experience boost? The same you get when you are creating plain new character or importing low-level one from BG.

OK, level 35 thief and then needing level 36 as a fighter to get thief levels back? I understand that you're using an XP cap disabler, but is there any fun in doing this? Sure, if you solo, there's enough XPs in the game to do this (I'm guessing you're going to need somewhere on the order of 13 million total XPs to reactivate your thief abilities). But my question basically is, what is the attraction to such a build? What are you hoping you will accomplish? The reason I ask this is if you play through the game once, even in solo, most of the game you will either be a straight fighter or a straight thief. Moreover, if you were going to do this, why pick a shashbuckler, which is the most fighter-like of the thief kits? It seems like an assassin or a bounty hunter would suit your needs far better.

And perhaps the best question: Why level 35? I mean, that's an awful lot of thief levels. 35*25 = 875. That's way more thief skill points than you'll ever need. Considering you start with around 100 points at level 1, there are tons of items, and there are bonuses for high dexterity. I can't imagine that it's for HLAs either, because at level 35, you've already received a TON of HLAs - I'd guess at least 10 by the time that you get that far. That's another reason I don't see Swashbuckler as a good choice - you don't even get to choose assassinate - well I suppose you could, but seeing as how your backstab mutiplier is 1, assassinate would just be a regular attack. I really don't see the attraction here.

 

Actually, swashbucklers get Whirlwind Attack instead of Assasination, Aldeth.

In any case, any character past level 30 is already overkill...
