[IMG] I recently played the expansion for BG2 Neverending Journey. It was fun, but when I uninstalled it probems began.
Now I wish to completely uninstall my game and reinstall to get rid of the junk.
I uninstalled BGTOB and I tried to uninstall BGSOA but nothing happened. All of the game files were still there. I ran the uninstall repeatedly but no results. I next Deleated the Black Isle folder and deleated the registry keys.
When I tried to reinstall the game from the cd there was no Install option, just play or configure and all of the rest.
I ran Roxio's GoBack program and reverted my harddrive to before my uninstall.
Here is what my game is doing.
I can play my BGTOB game without any problems.
I can play my BGSOA game Problem free. Except that Watchers Keep doesn't show up on the game map.
I Can't begin a new game, before the character creation screen loads the game boots me back to the desktop.
I have backed up all of my important stuff and Now I would like to do an uninstall and a fresh install and start over.
    Could someone help me please.

Ah, I had that problem before ages ago. I can't remember how I got rid of it. Format is the only way I think.

You can try an UnInstall program like Nortons Clean Sweep. I think it's only around $20 or so.

Thank you for trying to help.
I received the correct answer from another message board.
How to manually uninstall BGII: (Back to Top)

1.) Uninstall using the shortcut in the BG2 Start menu or the Add/Remove Programs utility in the Control Panel. The game files should be removed from the user's hard drive and the shortcuts removed from the Start menu.

2.) If step 1 failed, run "baldur.exe" from the CD. It should notify the user that the previous installation attempt failed and that they should try reinstalling the game using the program's Install button.

3.) If step 2 failed, edit the "baldur.ini" file in the directory where the game was installed. Look for the "Installing" key under the "Program Options" section, set it to 1 ("Installing=1"), save the file and repeat step 2.

    4.) If step 3 failed, edit the system registry using the regedit / regedit32 utility. Remove the following keys: - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ App Paths \ BG2Main.exe - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Uninstall \ {8DAE4336-2B71-11D4-9A6C-006067325E47}

5.) Go to your Program Files directory and find the hidden directory "InstallShield Installation Information" and delete the directory labeled "{8DAE4336-2B71-11D4-9A6C-006067325E47}"

6.) Manually delete all the files and directories created by the previous installation attempts (this should return the system to its state before the original installation attempt) and try again to install from the CD.

If anyone else had the same problem this answer completely worked.
