[IMG] I have an audio bug that I can't fix. The main tracks for all the characters' voices are missing. I can still hear the echo, so if I turn off all the other sounds and crank the voice volume, I can hear what they're saying.

The voices were working properly before I installed a few mods, but now they're gone. I have uninstalled the mods, but the voices haven't returned. The mods were: ease of use, tactics, 50th level spells, upgraded items, and improved thief's quest.

I have tried various audio settings in the config utility, but still no go.

Any thoughts on how to fix it, short of a complete reinstall?

Are you sure you completely uninstalled the mods? I don't have all of those mods, so I don't know if any of those affect the audio files. A complete re-install should work. Lastly, have you tried starting a new game? Perhaps there is something wrong with the save game file. I doubt this is of too much help, but it was all I could think of.

You might try updating you audio drivers. If you don't know how, at least try going under the sound options and disable environmental effects or EAX.
