Haer'Dalis Proficiencies

    I noticed that Haer Dalis has two proficiency points in short swords, but cannot get two proficiencies in other weapons (I attempted it with Katanas). My question is what's the real rule? Should blades be able to get more than one proficiency in weapons or is this something unique to Haer Dalis? What about skalds? Same deal?

    If you get him later, he has 2 stars in Long Swords as well, but if you pick him up earlier you can't give him the extra proficiency. Pretty annoying. Sadly, blades can't specialise in anything except Two-Weapon Fighting.

    Haer'Dalis always has two profiencies for the short sword and one profiency for longsword but if you're to summon him in the pocket plane in ToB, he gets an additional profiency for the longsword.
