Ok, after killing that Cyric cleric and ridding the Nashel(sp?) mines of the kobold, I talk to Xan and he thank me for his freedom and then he just took the moonblade and bolted off! Where did he go? I want to have a mage in my party and even after I emgered from the mines to the surface I still can't find him!

[IMG] I believe you cannot get him anymore once you let him left. For my case, I'll ask any NPC to join my group if given option. As my group is full, Imoen will make the sacrifice everytime,(to kick her out temporary) allowing me to view the statistic of the new comer.

Same goes to Xan. I asked him to join and then kick him out again. Most probably he'll remain there, rather then he left in first place when you didn't ask him to join you.

    ..........way

    .................there?
Xan is Lawful Neutral and doesn't care for miscreants. (although you'd think he'd make an exception long enough to get out of there!!! More stubborn than a dwarf...)

Charisma is the reason then. It's bascily with all NPC's, the higher the charisma, the more will follow you. I think you need aobut 14-15 or something like, else just make another NPC leader. Imoen can talk most people into following you

Does it actually have anythign to do with how many people you can have in your party and who you can have. I know it affects reactions from others, and it may well affect the reactions from other party members. But I had a charisma of 8 in BG and did just fine, though I did have to let someone else talk to the shopkeeps for me ;) I didn't think it affected who would join your party.
