Okay, I just finished SoA and I had ToB installed. I got my Bhaal's Tears and beat the cr*p out of Irenicus. I saw the elves cheering me and that movie about the Five. When I finally could do something, I was in a circle of a bunch of stone heads. I clikced on it and about five people come and attack me after some ruins come up. I kill them, but I notice there is no TEXT! They have no names and when I get to Sarevok and the Solar, the text box comes up, but no actual words appear. When I click on the text box, all that happens is this: (btw, my character name is Ithtor)

    Ithtor-

Everythign after that is blank. Every time I click on the text box, it just says the same thing and I click the 'continue' and 'end dialogue.' Anyone know what is wrong and how to fix?

I have the Flirt mod installed and the UScript on the Sorcerer's Place 1st Subsection page. I installed those before ToB, but then I deleted all the files I could see in the Script folder that were UScript.

Sounds like you've got incompatible mods at work there. I don't think deleting everything in the scripts folder is going to make a blind bit of difference as the mods are likely to have affected the main game file. Try uninstalling some mods and see if that works, although now you've deleted the script files you might find uninstallation and getting the game to work properly afterwards a bit of a problem.

Blank text isn't a sign of incompatible mods, but of mods installed incorrectly or out of order. Like, installed while the game or a game editor was running, or installing the mods and THEN installing something that overwrites the dialog.tlk file, such as the Bioware patch.

Sooo.....what do I do? I have item upgrade too. Just so I say again, I currently am running Flirt and Item Upgrade. I also don't have a patch and I don't have anything Weidu...I didn't install while a game editor or the game was running too.

Edit:Nix what I said about no WeiDu, I just found out (or remembered) that Flirt Pack and Item Upgrade are both WeiDu.

You're playing *without* the patch and you're having problems?

    Gee, I can't imagine why...

Not if you install the patch before installing the mods.

Yeah, I'm gonna do just that. But I have to wait till Dad is home coz he has to log on as administrator so I can uninstall ToB. I already uninstalled alla my mods and I tried it again (with no patch)It was the same. But yeah, I'm gonna uninstall ToB, then install it again, then patch, then mods. That's the order, yes?

EDIT: I just noticed the Comprehensive BG2 Mod List and I guess I am right. If you haven't notice yet, I'm not very observant.

Incompatible mods won't cause the problems that he's talking about, patch or no patch. At least, not with Bioware's texts (they will interfere with the texts of other mods, though).

Sounds to me like you did something like delete a file called dialog.tlk?

Nope, I got it solved. I also have an account on SorcerersPlace (called about the same name) and I posted this same thing. A guy anmed Lord told me to basically reinstall alla the crap, but this time, in the right order. I think I had installed SoA, then my mods, then ToB before. So yeah, after reinstalling in correct order, it was aaall good.
