[IMG] nope, you don't need her. just clear the keep and go talk her. If you are a fighter she'll give you your stronghold.

Thanks, Sirdan. Right now I went to the graveyard, and she was not taken prisoner. I’ll go to the keep and dismiss her.

[IMG] No need to dismiss her at the keep, you can kick her everywhere :D She'll then just return to the keep. When you don't do the fighter stronghold she'll be gone for good though.

Besides: Do you really think that with BG-2 SoA beeing out for ... 2 years ??! ... now you need to worry about spoiling anything any longer? ;)

Ragusa, to some people SoA is still fresh and new. Just as NWN will be to me in two years (when that patch is available, that is...).

Would I care of not be spoiled too much with it? I would!

However, I don't advise kicking her out yet, if experience from the kidnap subquest is something you want to get.

Point taken Extremist, and yes, the Nalia quests are interesting though yet a little incomplete ... but IMO Nalias abilities are about weakest reasons to keep her :D but that's a personal aversion - IMO Imoen is the better thief-mage, Jan Jansen is the even better thief-mage and eventually Edwin is the best mage anyway ...

 ... and I don't really understand why they didn't make Nalia a swashbuckler dualed to a mage instead ...

Ragusa, yet throughout the first part of the game, when most people do stronghold quests, you won't have Imoen. Nalia's thief skills are adequate for the early quests, and she is a better mage than Jan. Edwin is not a good choice for good parties. It depends on what mannedoc needs her for.

Ragusa, why would they make Nalia a swashbuckler (ie, a pirate)? She lives in the middle of the continent, far from the sea, in a castle with her Noble family. From a power players perspective, swashbuckler may be more convenient, but from a roleplaying perspective, it makes no sense.

Well, the swashbuckler is not the pirate equvalent even when pirates such as Saemon Havarian may be part swashbuckler, part mage. Instead swashbucklers show off with their skill and I think that would fit a nobleborn wannabe revolutionary a little better than an ordinary petty thief.

Of course there is also the powergaming point of view :D

As for the reasons to take Nalia, they are fine and right - but I never have really been dependent on her support since I have been playing better, good aligned thieves myself. Of course it always depends on your party choices. I have usually played with two or even three PCs, eliminating the need for Nalia :D
