Okay...how old would you say some of the NPCs are? Here's what I think...
Aerie - about 21 (hmm...elf ages? Is she older, then?)
Anomen - about 27
Cernd - about 42
Edwin - about 40
Haer'Dalis - about 36
Imoen - about 17
Jaheira - about 38
Jan - about 48
Keldorn - about 55
Korgan - about 40
Mazzy - about 34
Minsc - about 33
Nalia - about 21
Sarevok - about 39
Valygar - about 32
Viconia - about 29
Yoshimo - about 40

Are you converting into human equivalent years? If not, all of the demi-humans - notably Korgan, Viconia, Aerie, Jaheira, Jan and Mazzy, are likely MUCH older than you list.

 

Err, yes, I am...apart from the humans.

 

I think HD is more like 25, he seems pretty young in game.

 

And it doesnt make sense that Imoen and Sarevok are different ages. They are both Children of Bhaal, right?

I wouldn't think that Jaheira would be too much older (half-elves have about the same aging rate as humans), but Haer'Dalis should be, I think.

Sarevok ought to be younger (30-ish) because he wasn't a teenager yet when you were a baby, and Imoen is close in age (21), but the rest are just guesses. I don't think Minsc would be quite 33, considering that he was on his dejemma when you first met him, but mid to late twenties wouldn't be unreasonable.

 

But I thought that Gorion had to choose between PC and Sarevok when they were babies?

Wouldn't that make them the same age, or one or two years in difference?

Fel, half-elves age slower than humans, but quicker than elves. Ex: if a human got to be 80 years old max, a half elf would look around 150, and an elf 300? (not sure about the last one).

Also, one of Aerie's snarky comments to Jaheira - when the druid is again harping on her - says she is older than her rival... more than likely.

So she surely isnt that young, yes?

STARTING AGES (for adventurers)

Human: 16-19
Half-elf: 16-21
Halfling: 23-32
Dwarf: 45-70
Gnome: 63-96
Elf: 105-130

Half-elves reach maturity just as quickly as humans. While around 40 seems right for Jaheira, you shouldn't increase it just because she's a half-elf. Besides, if she were really that old, she would have quit the Harpers a while ago to join Cernd and his ilk in the forest.

Korgan - can't tell
Mazzy - dunno...
Minsc - mid to late 30's
Nalia - early 20's if not a tad younger
Sarevok - mid to late 30's
Valygar - mid to late 30's
Viconia - old...
Yoshimo - mid to late 30's

 

And my 2 cents, which I tried to put in appropriate human years:
Aerie - 40ish, she's still young acting for an elf but that might be her personality
Anomen - 25, an adult anywhere else but still obeying his father
Cernd - 45
Edwin - early 30s
Haer'Dalis - 40, that age when you've got the experience of life and now it's time to have some fun
Imoen - 19
Jaheira - 30ish, older than the PC but not by that much
Jan - 80s, he's got that prankish old man thing
Keldorn - 50s, his body's complaining and he's got the wisdom of a seasoned warrior (just don't ask for help in your marriage)
Korgan - 70s, curmugeon anyone?
Mazzy - 35-45, old enough to have adventured for a few years and learn patience, listen to how she speaks to Anomen when he berates her racially
Minsc - 20, he was on his dejemma in BG1 which I believed was for his adulthood in Rasheman, so I'd say he was 17 in BG1
Nalia - 22
Sarevok - 23
Valygar - 28
Viconia - 50
Yoshimo - 30s

 

Aerie has over a century. The normally accepted age is 110-120.

These modifiers are cumulative, so by Venerable you'd have: -4 STR; -3 DEX & CON; +2 INT; +3 WIS

Sorry, but Sarevok is Charname's brother, same age. I think Aerie is more of a human teen equivalent and I'm not sure if Nalia's past her teens, either. Minsc could be a bit younger.

 

I've always thought Haerry to be somewhat ageless, but older in years than Aerie at least. He has spent a lot of time in the Planes and time doesn't work the same in every place. Could be dead wrong in this though. Maybe he's as old in Faerun years as Viconia: in his 200 smthings. (Imagine the midlife crisis!) Even if he looks young, he's banters, especially with Aerie make him seem at least 10 human years older than her, but then again everybody seems at least that much older than her 'cause she's such a crybaby.

Jaheira seemed a lot younger in BG, than in SoA, but so did Immy and Viconia. How many Faerun years apart these games take place? Judging from those three and Sarevok in ToB it seemes something like ten or even more! Sarevok sure doesn't have the looks of a twenty-year old! He's more like a man in his 40's! Again judging from Jaheira's harper acquaintances (Gorion? and Elminster?; who both have their main interest in the Bhaalspawn issue are still putting Jaheira chaperoning a bhaalspawn with a Huge Prophecy fulfilling itself anytime soon?) and her banters I'd say that shes at least 60 years old. Jaheira in her 30's would make her seem as such a novice, hardly up to the responsability she's been assigned to.
