Personally, I reckon the whole idea of a romance with, lets not forget, your HALF - SISTER is just a little bit gross...

Yup! It's not worth trying. If you already know what it's like and still wanna try it then go on.
I know a few who have lost all their interest in the whole game because of that mod.

Let's not try and turn this into a discussion over wether or not it's alright to romance Imoen. We've had plenty enough of those already, and this is hardly the correct thread for a new one.

Save the misspellings and errors in grammar, this mod is actually pretty good.

It's hardly gross, considering that you are a mass murderer yourself (and would sentence to a thousand death if the law caught you), I see no problem here.

I have no problems with the idea behind the Imoen Romance. Hell, I have even written a lemon about it , hosted here. ;)

But when it comes to this mod, I cannot agree with Foradasthar; it's not pretty good. It's 'average' in quality. For one, the romance has too many ways to go awry. You have to be at the right place at the right time and done all the necessary things for it to proceed, thus most of the time you'll end up missing one of the best aspects of this game: ALL romances. Second, the mod is buggy; don't be surprised if the dialog-strings go all scrambled suddenly (happened to me twice, screwing the whole mod). Lastly; the dialogs themselves are a bit varying in quality. Some very bad ones, a few good ones, and several that have nothing to do with the romance (==fillers).

So, Nightwood, I suggest you skip it and take mods like Banter Pack and Flirt Pack instead. ;)

@wirhe - oh, is it really as buggy as you say ?

in the meantime i got the mod (it seemed imoen.org was only reorganizing a bit) and i've seen the first dream sequences before spellhold.

i wanted to try the imoen-mod because i already tried tashia, solaufein, kiara-zelya. i think they're all worth trying. banter and flirt pack are also nice. especially banter pack is quite funny at times, e.g. when lilarcor goes wild about jaheira's weapon.

what are your favorite mod-npc's ??

Well I always play with Ascension, and Flirtpack installed. The rest are pretty much dependant on what I feel like playing / trying.

I didn't dare say what Wirhe did back there since the last time I played Imoen Romance was over a year ago. I assummed they'd fixed the stupid bugs. But yes, I had to play BG2 over half-way through 3 times before getting the romance to work. All the while I was consulting the mod creator about the problems I found while playing it. If it's still like that, then I wouldn't recommend it either. Otherwise, even if the dialogue was plagued by the occasional errors in grammar, the romance plot and the self-made musics accompanying it did give it a rather good console RPG:ish feeling. Save something about the plot I don't want to spoil, that I certainly didn't like.

Anyway, since we got into it a bit, I'll say my take on the idea of romancing Imoen. She doesn't share a single gene with Charname. Their parents were unrelated (obviously since you can be of different race) and Bhaal only transported his godly essence. If it was about two siblings romancing each other, then I'd think of that a tad bit weird too. But it isn't. You could say we're all breeding with our own brothers and sisters as well since it all began with Adam and Eve ( if you believe in that, that is ). The only thing Imoen and Charname have in common is the persona of their father. But the body and genes of that father was completely different when he got their mothers pregnant. And the persona can hardly matter since he wasn't exactly around to raise them either.
