Searching for Irenicus

I am DESPERATE to find a mod that will allow me to use the great Jon Irenicus in ToB. I want to use him the way he's supposed to be: with a LOAD of slots for spells and also alot of magic resistance. Help me!

 

Yes, there is a mod which lets you take Irenicus into your party. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of it. I last saw it as an advert on Pocket Plane Group. It's more than likely on SP. Try PPG Modlist and check the 'Forum Guidlines...' post stickied at the top of this forum.

Yes, the Longer Road mod is what I was looking for. Now comes a newer and more annoying problem. The LR mod says that I have to have Irenicus' old mask in my inventory before I am teleported to the Pocket Plane. My question is: WHERE DO I GET HIS MASK?! It doesn't say anything about it in the readme, and I can't find anything online about it. Help me! (Again)

Don't worry about that. I'm sure the mod provides a way to get it.

 

I wish that were true, but the mod gives no information on how to obtain the mod. Plus, when the game starts, nothing special happens that would allow me to get the mod. I am SO close to using the Great One but I've got this hurdle to get through. Where in the world is the Great One's mask?!

 

I never tried this mod, but I'd advise you to look around before you fight Ilasera since it is implied that you should find this mask before going to the planar sphere... Or you could just use Shadow Keeper and put the mask in your inventory if you really can't find it.

Okay, I fixed the problem. My dumbass extracted the file but never actually INSTALLED it! Sorry about that guys, but like I'm very new to these mods and had no idea how to install it. But the mod is SWEET, giving ToB a great storyline as well as an explanation of what happened to Irenicus and how he came back from Hell! I've been playing it for about two days now. It's called "The Longer Road" and it's really cool to use Irenicus. Thanks again guys.

 

Well it sure seems like a lot of fun! Give us some feedback (but don't spoil the plot)
I wonder if Irenicus is not too powerful as a party member?

 

In the Longer Road, Irenicus returns from Hell through some crazy (but well-orchestrated) circumstances and you have the choice to accept him in your group. One hint is that, in order to get him to join your group, you'll have to do the same as you did for Sarevok. As he journeys with you, he talks to yourself and other members of the party, explaining things (the events of SoA), arguing with people, you know the usual.

He also gives his opinions on the people that you encounter in the game. I can't give much more away (for sake of spoiling a great plot, but Irenicus himself is an awesome mage, with 9 or 10 slots for Level 9 spells! He also has his own quests and... ugh, it just provides a great wrap-up for the entire game, especially for Irenicus. It's also alot of fun to see Irenicus and Imoen argue back and forth. And when he talks, a cool classical song comes on in his place. Ah, the little things! All I know is that I've missed a full day's work and I'm not missing it one bit! These mods are so cool... How do I make donations to this site anyway?!
