I don't think that you can get to be immune to all magic, but with a few magic items, you can get close enough.

And the gem shows how many times you have posted, more posts = more valuable gem.

The only way to be immune to magic is through a protection from magic scroll and it isn't permanent. In fact, it doesn't even last that long and you can only buy them from Ribald's Adventure Mart in the Promenade(you're only limited to two though).
The gem is sort of like your posting "Rank", an indicator of how often you post on the boards.

You can also buy protection from magic scrolls from a scroll salesman on the north side of the top level of Waukeen's promenade. If you use the cleric spell "magic resistance" you can become more magic resistant.

I would agree that a scroll of protection from magic is the best way to do it - but keep in mind that when it means protection from all magics, it includes your own, so you can't Haste, Tenser-Transform, and Strengthen your uber-Kensai/Mage and except to be invulnerable to that annoying level 20 wizard with automatic protection spells if you've already cast the scroll. Furthermore, you can't cast spells if you've cast the scroll - an interesting tactic is to cast the protection on an enemy mage. And there are precious few scrolls; use them wisely.

I found using protection from magic scrolls takes the challenge out of many battles such as ones with powerful mages ("as if" irenicus) so i've stopped using them...
