I like having an evil party because the evil NPC's are far better than the good NPC's that join your party.

    Example.

Edwin has 18 intelligence and is the best spell caster in the game. because you need an intelligence of 18 to use level nine spells. Just look at the number of spells he has at higher levels.

Viconia has 18 wisdom and is the best cleric in the game. Again look at the spells she has at higher evels.

Korgan is far the best fighter NPC in the game. At higher levels he is built like a tank and has up to 3-4 attacks per round(6-8 attacks with boots of speed). He kills most mages before they have the time to cast a single spell. He even killed Kangaxx by single handed in only 8 seconds. He was ENRAGED at level 14 and was immune to imprisonment spell. I given his Boots of Speed, Shield of Harmony, Hammer of Thunder Bolts, Full Plate Mail armour, Ring of protection 2, Helm of Balduran, and Ring of Regeneration.

How can you be immune to an imprisonment spell? There is no savingthrow.

i would argue about Viconia being the best Cleric in the game man

i would say Anomen is MUCH better...

for a start Anomen can fight MUCH MUCH better than Viconia. Viconia is a good spell caster, but Anomen ain't bad at all and will eventually have access to a good number of spells.

Viconia can't fight at all really, and to be honest can only sit at the back of the group and watch and maybe throw a few Bullets into the fray *unethueastically* woohoo...

Clerics aren't supposed to be fighters, they only have 1 attack per round for a reason. If you play the P&P D&D, you should know that a cleric has one of the most important jobs, healing and prevention. When a character dies, you have to rely on him to revive you. Viconia has the best stats for a cleric. She gets more bonus spells than anyone else. No other cleric in the game has an 18 for wisdom. (At least none that I remember at this point)

i completely agree with the edwin and korgan counts, they are hard to beat out. its just that they get pissed when your party gets famous. this is of course negated by that drow chick, but i use jahiera, i just don't get why supposedly she can't heal as well. someone let me know the benefits of having a straight up cleric will ya?

I was able to complete a game with an EVIL party. My main character was a Fighter/Thief. I actually finished the game in just over 50days (BG2 days, not real days). There are a lot of quests that I didn't even deal with because they revolved around 'GOODNESS'. But my Fighter/Thief still was able to finish at a very high level.

Viconia is by far a better Fighter than Anomen with... some item of 'Strength'. Her magic resistance alone makes her an overwhelming choice over Anomen. Her 18 Wisdom is just a 'kicker' in that she gets bonus spells. Her 19 Dexterity is great for her AC and her Missle attacks. Any who down play her abilities may have not have 'objectively' reviewed all angles in this matter. Viconia is SOLID.

my PC is neutral, so I may have the best from both worlds, i have whipped off the XP cap, so nalia gets all spells.

I just like her to write spells purely becasue you get XP.

Hey Orgrim, that battle against Kangaxx must have been great, amazing to behold, tell me more about it. I'm specially interested in the part how you managed it to hit Kangaxx with the 'Hammer Of Thunderbolts' (hope it was 'Crom Faeyr'). I'm astonished about Korgan's performance. btw. 'Boots Of Speed' don't double your attacks, except for this special pair I've heard about...
