I couldn't find my answer through search so here I am:

I'm presently doing my third time through SOA-TOB for the first time I'm playing a heavy fighter party, and I'm also playing at Insane level. About everybody got 1 million 400 000 XP exept Immy who barely got a million. My party consist of

    Me: Elven Fighter
    Minsc
    Anomen
    Jaheira
    Imoen
    Jan

Each time I try to defeat the demon the deep gnome want you to kill in order to get the light gems, that bastard kill me beyond resurection plus he paralize my party plus he get rid of my meat shield in 9-10 second.

    Any Idea?

Well, have your clerics stock up Chaotic Commands before the battle, naturally. Cast any other buffs you possibly can (Bless, Chant, Haste etc. etc.). Lower the creatures magic resistance and cast greater malison (if you have them) and then batter him with spells. As long as your Fighters cant be stunned or feared, you should have him down before long. It's just a case of trying, trying and then trying again, if your having major problems. Or you could even do the other areas in the Underdark (Mind Flayer city, Kuo Tuans (sp) lair etc. - if you haven't already) first, to gain a few more items and XP.

Plus, a meat shield against a creature like that has done well to last 10 secs :-D.

    Good Luck with it mate!

[EDIT: Removed all the typo's I could see :p ]

By that time I always had Keldorn with The Holy Avenger and Cerebrus the award you get from doing the Ranger Strongholds. Keldorn does a ton of damage and Cerebrus gives the whole party Protection from Evil.

Plus with the Magic Resistance that Keldorn has from the sword he doesn't get paralyzed and he can still cast dispell magic for when others in the party do.

I've not usually found it that difficult. Free Action should protect against stunning (so make sure Anomen has it selected a few times). Make sure Anomen is buffed to the max - Righteous Magic and Draw Upon Holy Might should bring him up to 25 STR. You might consider sending Minsc berserk (immunity to stun). There's not much Jan and Imoen can do (unless Imoen has Tansheron's), so keep them out of the way. Alternatively, a couple of Lower Resistances followed by Magic Missile might be useful. If all else fails, remember your slayer transformation.
