The Demagorgon is still giving me grief. I have been busy lately, so have not been able to play much, but the few times I've tried have not gone well.

Besides using protections, special abilities, summoned creatures and +4 or better weapons, is there anything else that might help? I have horrid wilting, ruby ray of reversal, warding whip, etc., though I don't seem to be getting much out of those. Maybe my timing is bad.

I have managed to get the DG "badly injured", and to kill off one of the mariliths at the same time, but my characters always die before the job is done.

    Any suggestions?

Ignore everything except Demogorgan as he just keeps spawning them.

GW attacks help infinitly to get his Stoneskins down. He's completely immune to magic, obviously, so have all your casters constantly buff your fighters. Fighter/Mages equipped with the ring of Gaxx (no disease that way) are always helpful.

Chaotic Commands to stop that beguiling gaze. Mordekainen's Sword to keep the Mariliths off you, and Summon Planetar/Deva to do the same or keep DG occupied. Greater Whirlwind Attacks to tear down DG's protections since you can't Breach him. (Improved) Haste to give your fighters a bit more speed. Have everyone who's going toe-to-toe with the big guy stock a full belt of super healing potions and be prepared to drink like it's a keg party. Keep a cleric back (preferably Hasted or wearing Boots Of Speed) with Heal, Cure Disease and Resurrection. If you have Aerie, she's perfect for this since she can use the Robe of Vecna and Spell Triggers/Sequencers to fire off her healing spells almost instantly whenever they're needed (and as you'd know, speed is essential here). I also found the quest spell "Implosion" surprisingly effective - it won't knock DG out, but it will pin him in place and do some damage.

But whatever you do, don't summon demons...

after several games of just locking him in to WK my last time i finally beat DG. the key is getting out your summons before battle(a planetar, and four skeleton warriors). next you have to cast spell protections and haste and improved haste on your party. then have your clerics cast energy blades(deadly!). hit him with everything youve got and youll take him down.

Energy Blades are great for knocking down his Stoneskins because of the million attacks per round you get with them.

If you have a thief with high level ability traps, you can kill him instantly. This is insanely cheap, but can be used as a last resort.

Here's a tip, not too origional, but I found it helps. Use haste and Defensive Harmony before the fight starts, then DO NOT USE TIMESTOP, he is immune and will mash your mage good. Just hammer away and attack only him as other peeps said. Magic is practically useless, but a high lvl mage with remove magic is a good start. Hope this helps.
