    Is he inherently overpowered, or is it just that he's a sorcerer?

    Is it true that he'll have romantic dialogues with Imoen? If so, do I have any influence on these dialogues, or do they just pop up out of nowhere?

    Should go without saying but . . . Spoiler Alert


    Kelsey by virture of being a Sorcerer is in some ways overpowerd. Disregarding his class he also has one very powerfull item, his cloak. It is basicly a cloak of protection that also raises his Constitution by the single point he needs for extra hit points as well as providing a version of the Fire shield spell (in this case its acid shield).

    As I rairly play using Imoen and I have a tendancy to get through the game faster than the diolog timer I have not gotten the romance between Kelsey and Imoen to happen. To my knowlege however the only control you have in preventing this is either not having one of them or romancing Kelsey yourself.
    Someone correct me if I am wrong.

    His stats aren't overpowered at all; his cloak is a nice item, but still not overpowered; his class if anything is more powerful than most others later on in the game, but in the beggining, the sorcerer is just as bad as every other mage out there.

    Kelsey starts off in your party nicely balanced, and from there gains in power...so if you think he is too powerful early on, keep him out of the group until you are ready to go into chapter 3... :rolling:

    I am pretty sure you can tell Kelsey to stay away from Imoen (even if you're not romancing him) and he will do so. :)

    There's a way to get Kelsey to stop interacting with Imoen, but it doesn't change the way he feels. Essentially he just waits until after the game to resume their relationship.

    And the relationship only really shows up in TOB. They do have a couple of banters in SOA.
