If anyone doesn't have anything useful to post, don't bother.

As for feeding the familiar, I think there's a dialogue option if you let it out and talk to it. I haven't put mine out in a long time, I'll have to try it to be sure, heh.

  7. Actually... you *can* feed the familiar after you install Throne of Bhaal.

Lol, the whole feeding and playing with it is a spin off of those stupid little electronic toys that kids used to play with called Gigapets.

The feeding is not necessary and useful and possible in SoA, but in ToB it can heal the familiar so you don't have to pack it into your bag all the time. Use the dialogue button and choose the "feed" option. Works then like meal minor wounds or something.

I read that our familiar will turn to advance version when entering ToB.

How come now I've reached the first town, my pet is still as the same????

Forget familiar food, where's my food? My Paladin is starving, he hasn't eaten since Candlekeep! Oh sure, there's plenty to drink. In fact, he's pretty much turning into an alcoholic since the whole party get rip-roaring drunk whenever they hit an inn, but cripes! the man gots to eat!

Bologna! There's plenty of grub to go. Neb's Head on a platter, Demon Hearts all over the place, Drow brains, beholder eyestalks, and an old vampire's hand to name a few.

But my question is how come the ToB manual says nothing about this new addition to familiars? Well besides possibly feeding them, is there anything else new about familiars?

In ToB the familiars get more hit pints and some new or better spells/abilities.
Somewhere around this place there's a guide to the familiars. Look out for it. Also on www.game-banshee.net (???)in the ToB walktrough.
