Sarevok 200 damage

    Hello, Im playing TOB currently, and have Sarevok in my group. I was in the pocketplane doing the first test where you first kill peasants, then elves and then knights.
    Then Sarevok hit the elf for 200 damage!
    That's pretty weird I think. He's using the Silver Sword (Vorpal Sword) that has 25% chance of killing the target instantly.
    Is this just normal, and very possible that he just does 200 damage without any ability?
    Is he so strong? Im currently in Saradush and he hasn't done that (over 100 damage) anymore.

    He has a special attack that only happens about 5 % of the time or something. It does 200 damage, so that's what happened.

    If the screen shook then it was the 'Deathbringer Assault', Sarevok's special attack. As Bahir the Red said, it happens very few times.

    [​IMG] Yep, as they said, it's his special attack, which randomly occurs against any enemy.
    I mean, after all it is Sarevok!!!! :D

    but when it does, its magical ;)

    Its also worth mentioning that all of the 'bosses' wear a belt that gives them immunity to the effect so no 1-hit-KO on Yaga or Abazigal.

    Oh, Winterine knows all about Sarevok and the Deathbringer assault. ;) She hasn't been online lately though...It's only ever happened once when I was playing.

    I think it really fits him... what would be cool though is if sarevok's sword became +5 in his hands, with some nice ability.

    There is one "boss" though in which a successful Deathbringer Assault would be a blessing. I think he's a lot harder to kill than some of the 5 in the unmodded game.
    His name is Draconis.

    Sarevok's DBA is one of the reasons which most people want him badly in their group. That, and the chance to redeem him to CG. I love challenges, I managed to sway Viccy from darkness, now Sarevok is the next, I hope...

    Ascension lets sarevok restore some of the power in the Sword of Chaos, making it a +4 weapon with 10%mr and a 1-5hp vampiric effect.

    If i'm playing to redeem Sarevok thats normally the sword i switch with the Silver Sword once i've lost use of Soul Reaver.
