My last Char was killed by that stupid dragon ( if you want explanation read my " Damn that bad DM " post) and by killed I mean -49 Hit-point sigh... But I realy don't know wich caracter class to choose, I *should* take a rogue since that the class "missing" to our team as the DM say to me, but I already tried a Rogue I want something news. Anyway our team is:

A elven cleric who don't like to heal much
A elven Monk who his materialist
A halfling ranger who don't like to live in the forest
A Half-elven sorcerer who is (almost) as depresive as Xan (a BG1 char)

pathetic eh? :wail: anyway the team do not have someone to lock pick find/remove trap but still I would love to try something news. So far I've played a Fighter-rogue a Illutionist and a Barbarian. Advidse please?

Quite frankly, I pity you. A good DM will adjust adventures to fit the abilities of the party, but from the "Damn that Bad DM" thread, it sounds like your DM is anything *but* good. My advice to you is just take something that has good Reflex Saves (for traps) and hope it helps. If you're willing to sacrifice a few levels (since it sounds like your party is fairly high level), take a couple of rogue levels if you're truly worried about traps.

anyway this time * he * won't be the DM it will be a far more competent DM who wouldn't let that happen! a Bard eh? I guess I'll give it a try tooooooo bad they cannot learn many evocation spell, but their ability are quite versatile!

I wonder, if I try a fighter/bard will this be good? Because I truly would want a "blade" like caracter! ( Blade: a BG2 Kit )

Bard is meant to be mixed up with other classes (A class or two of rogue is nice too, from a powergaming perspective). Should work nicely, although you may want to choose healing spells, seeing as how your Cleric dislikes healing. Don't forget to choose whip as your proficient weapon as a Bard; it's redundant if you choose a martial weapon.

Why is it redundant to pick a martial weapon with a bard?

Edit: Ah, yes. Of course. Thanks C'J.

    It's not. It's redundant to pick a martial weapon with a Fighter/Bard.

Unless you're an Elven Bard, and choose something like longsword for Bard weapon proficiency. But that's just plain silliness there...
