    Hi,

Ok, there have been a rash of "best of", "worst of", "better than", etc etc threads in the few days, several covering the same topic. Because I am feeling left out I thought I would burden the forum with one more.

Whats your favourite piece of Music in SOA?

My favourite is that rather stirring, slightly western (cowboys and Indians) bit that plays in De' Arnise Hold.

    Cheers,

    WittyNewt.

The government / bridge district...the music there just gives that sort of "medieval" feeling to the game.

Actually, I simply start melting with any of four romance pieces.

Other music...not bad, but not so good either - at least it was not irritating.

I prefer the opening music that plays during the character creation screen. I could listen to that all day.

Oh yes, that's good. It sort of inspires you to sit and roll for another fifteen minutes :)

    Or a half hour :)

  8. Well... I would say that the 'best' musical piece is during the Viconia romance dialogues. I spent minutes just listening to the music.

The carried-over lighthearted tavern music is the best, I think. Love, love, love all that jazzy get-drunk-to-it munes.

[IMG] Yeah right, the best pieces are the one on the character-creation sreen, and the Viconia romance melody. Howecer, I love the Dragon theme as well.

And of course, one of the best music pieces are in the expansion:) -do NOT move this, please. I know, this is not a ToB topic, but this is the truth. The opening music of ToB and the Child od Bhaal theme are awesome.

  12. I love the music when you start a battle :p

yeah the TOB char creation music is awesome:D

  14. Oh yeah! I forgot about them. The TOB character creation screen theme and the music that plays during the Sendai battle. It really got me into groove.

EDITED HERE: Wait a minute. I just realized that this is the SoA boards. How come you people are replying with music in ToB? Oh well, monkey see monkey do.

[IMG] I do like the TOB character creation music; I also like the Brynnlaw music, the De'Arnise Keep music, and, best of all, the Dragon Battle music.

Is there a special theme that plays during the final battle with Irenicus? I've only fought him once, and I'm of the opinion that the music I heard there was the best in the game.

As well, the opening theme and the Dragon Battle music.

Yeah Shadowdancer there is some special battle music with Irenicus at the end. But IMHO BG1 and ToB battle music is better than BG2's battle music on a whole.

But BG2 does have good music for when you're not in battle, such as Temple District's Theme, Dock's District Theme, Trademeet, Druid Grove, Brynlaw, Underdark, etc.

As for the best, I prefer the Druid's Grove theme.

Really, B? Then I'll have to pick up a copy of BG1 and ToB. Of course, I was planning that anyway. :)

To be honest, I never noticed the music in the areas, with the possible exception of the Temple and Government Districts. Especially the Lathander temple, or was that just ambient sound? Either way, it was impressive.

But give me some stirring battle music any day.
