I have a friend called, well what shall we call her here?
Lynn is ok. (Tal please dont close this one.)

Lynn has been my friend since we were very young, in kindergarten. She have never been my best friend, but a very nice friend that you can talk to when you feel down. Anyway, she has always been herself, never pretended to be someone else. But now things have changed. The last months she starts to be more and more like me, and such. She dress like me, she agrees with me in everything I say, she starts writing poems and stories like me, she starts listen to the same music as I do aso.
And to be honest it is starting to get VERY irritating. Everytime I say something she agrees, but right after that, she says something else and you understand that she doesn't really agree with me. But she tries to make it look like she does. And she tries to make us look like twins or copies. If someone asks her something then she answers with "Yes WE do" or "No WE don't".
Just imagine how it is to have someone hanging around all day thinking the same thing as you do, feeling the same and doing the same.
She also tries to make a fool out of me as often as she can. But since I use to take it cool, she's the one that gets embarrassed. She tries to make me uncomfortable in many situations. She is always around me, ever pulling, pushing, grabbing me, giving me massages all the time.
*sigh*
Well, now when you know about this I need some help.
How the *beep* am I supposed to handle this?!
WQhat am I going to say to her, to make her stop this?!
It's driving me nuts.

 

Righty ho Eil,

Go to the local pharmacy, get some good
temporary Hair Colour. Tell your friend
its permanent. After she has dyed her
hair the same colour, wash yours out!
She'll be stuck with different coloured
hair and will look like a fool!!

Mwahahahahahha!

Or confront her, tell her you feel that
she's crowding you and not being original.
Or simply tell her you think her Poetry sucks!

Hehe, not to be joking but thats something pretty common. She will stop. I dont think talking to her would help. Would only get her mad at you. If you really want her to stop start saying outrageuos things and dress in really freaky clothes. That might work.

 

Pretend you are lez, and start hitting on her. THAT will probably get her away from you.

 

Start acting like her, then if she gets annoyed just say, you stop it then so will I

just confront her. maybe she just wanted some attention. or maybe she is just experimenting, you know, some human behavioral test. but seriously, just talk it out with her.

Eli - you don;t say how old she is. It sounds like a teenage thing (not patronising), and lots of people try and copy others when they're trying to sort out what kind of lifestyle they want. It's annoying, particularly if you are happy with being the "original", but it will pbly blow over.

There's some saying about imitation being the best form of flattery, but I can;t remember how it goes...

seriously though, good friends will tend to emulate one another. as your friend she won't be copying to annoy you, but genuinely doesn't realise what she's doing.

just bring her attention to what's annoying you, tell her straight and don't 'confront' her -break it gently.

Anyway, this is one of those things you should confront your friend with, tell her whats bothering you. Ask her why (or if) she is behaving this way and wait for her to talk to you. This isnt something we can help you with, its something you have to sort out between your friend and you.

You know, today I told my friends that I was soon going to change. I am tired of the old me. I said that I am going to find my own style that noone else has. You know what she said?!
She said:
- But Maya, what if someone already have that style? Will you be angry at that person then? Not that I would do something like that, but...
I answered her with and icy voice:
- That "person" who will copy my style will wish that they never born.
Then I turned around and went to the toilet.

I also told my best friend Anna what "Lynn" was doing. She agreed and said she had noticed that way back, but she didn't wanna tell me, she thought that I might tell "Lynn".
Anna also told me that "Lynn" said some damn irritating things about me behind my back. She told Anna that she thought that I was such a computernerd, and that I always had to be "special". She also said that I thought I knew EVERYTHING, I cant help that I am good in school at some subjects.
lol, now it sounds like I am one of those bragging people...
So anyway, right now I hate her.
I try to answer some of her questions with a icy voice.
Should I keep on doing this?
Both me and Anna thinks that she is mean and Anna has started to complain about "Lynn" for me.

By the way... yeah, a teenthingy. I am 13
And I am not a lesbian neither is "Lynn".

 

Just tell "Lynn" she's pissing you off. It works for me, well then again I greet my friends with a punch in the arm or a slap on the back of the head (we are CE *mwhahahaha*)

 

Start hitting on her.She might be in love with you.If that doesn't work than say your pissed and tell her that if she doesn't stop you will never talk to her again.She might just be a mimic!!!

 

Ignore her. She'll come crawling back...
