Assuming you mean films that aren't in the cinema now:

    Requiem For A Dream.
    Spy Games (Brad Pit)
    Bullit (Steve McQueen)
    Reservoir Dogs
    Pulp Fiction
Re-watch The Matrix, in anticipation of the new Matrix films.

Can't think of more at the moment. Don't want to list all my faves, coz they are pretty common, so you'll be sure to have seen them.

Drama? In the Bedroom is pretty good.
Action? Anything with Jet Li, especially his Chinese flicks.
Mystery? The Game with Michael Douglas is really cool.
Comedy? Whichever Monty Python you haven't seen yet.
Horror? I've heard The Ring is scary as hell.
Porn? Men Alone 2: the K-Y Connection (just kidding...I think)

Bram Stoker´s Dracula; a must see.
Gladiator, historically incorrect, but what the hell: it´s still a decend movie.
Ed-TV, humorous and the most amusing I have seen.

Current movies? Nah, they all are just rubbish. Hollywood just produces generalized stuff with a one recipë: a bit of talking, breasts, lots of action, more breasts.

How about Duck Soup, A Day at the Races, and A Night at the Opera? They may be old but they are still very funny.

    Some serious things:
Amen, Warriors, Z, Sweet Sixteen, Trainspotting, Schindler's list.
    Some funnier things:
Catch me if you can, Wasabi, the last 007 (not meant to be funny but it's just too stupid), Johnny English, Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain.
    Some Japanese things:
Ran, Kagemusha, Brother, violent cop, Furyo, Chihiro's journey.

Whatever you do, don't go see X-Men 2, I just saw it: crappy as hell.

If you haven't seen these yet, and you want to see something that is different from anything you saw before but not crap:
    - Amelie
    - My Big Fat Greek Wedding
    - 1984
    - Shiri
    - Musa
    - 7th Seal

No, none of these is Titanic or LOTR:crapmovie clone.

I almost forgot this one (and I bet noone heard about it) you won't regret:
    - Tesis
This spanish movie is in USA called Thesis. I dare to say that this movie is one of the world best movies that appeared in last ten years.

[IMG] Now that I have a new computer with a DVD player, I've asked for some DVD's for graduation.

Here's what I asked for, maybe these will give you ideas:

The Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones, the no-brainers :p
    The Truman Show
    The Princess Bride
    Catch Me If You Can

I have more, but that's all I asked for now.

Stigmata is pretty good, in my mind.

What about stand up comedy shows? You might wanna try standups by the following:

    Peter Kay
    Bill Bailey
    Eddy Izzard

my 3 fave comedians at the moment.

Oh, and don't forget Bottom (Rick Mayall & Adrian Edmonson).
