Study periods are for computer-based "research" alright. My best memories from school are the month or so we managed to get Unreal Tournament running over the school network before the network administrator got wise and had it taken off.

*sigh* I've only been out of school a year and I'm already nostalgic. I'm still a full time "student" (the inverted commas are because I don't do much actual studying) because I'm too lazy to get a real job.

8people, I know exactly what you mean. Uncaring teachers, annoying bullies... been there, done that, gone crazy.

I went to college for a few years, and I'm now finishing 2 days per week while working 3. Ideal combination. You work 3 days, get tired of it, so you go to school! And get tired of it, and then it's weekend! :)

I managed to hack onto the teachers computer in about year five (english yearing) and put elf bowling on everyones username.

The funny thing is, that teacher always let me use the master computer, Me and Blackcat94 were the only ones allowed, he even let us play computer games instead of doing PE! That was cool

We don't get study hall or homeroom. Instead of having 8 classes a day we have 4, but they are 90 minutes long (gym classes are the worst). And most of my teachers like to forget that we have 7 other classes and assign us hours of homework. Summer just won't come fast enough  I hate school.

I don't get it...don't you people have friends at school? Now, I have it easy at school...somewhat...4 classes per semester...5 months per semester (including weekends, holidays and skip/sick days), 2 semesters a year, getting up at 6am every day to get to school by 8am, and getting home at 3pm. This doesn't bother me in the least, the only REAL problem in school is homework, but it's a manageable problem.
Unless you have no friends and are given piles of homework every night, I have no idea how you could complain about school.

I enjoyed most of my classes. I loved my Biology and Chem classes, even tho I almost failed my chem class.

I am currently attending a tech school, I already took my Computer Maintenance class, and I am almost done with my Win2k class. :)

Yeah, but Dinotiggy, that is because we talk all through the lesson, the teacher is trying and failing to be cool and you are ace at french, what about us lunatics straggling behind with nothing but a mad little girl called bekki who says 'macbeth' to annoy somone then feels its wrath? Annyway you are right about Grammar being better, it rocks! except for extra homework and the fact that I am gonna DIE in 2 weeks when the exams start,

    Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp ME!

Hehehe, Bekki had revenge for that though didn't she, when some thing of hers decided to accept the laws of gravity.

Any way, my old school was so cool, I used to be really clever, now people even pay me to give them answers.

Don't mean to sound rude, but European schools are harder than American ones. Not that they are netter. I mean, tak Croatia for example. I am 16 now, and I am a fairly-good pupile. I have 16 subjects!! I have a friens in the States who has only 6 or 7 (If I am mistaken, correct me). He is 17 now. Among my subjects I have: Croatian, English, German, Latin, History, Biology, Chemistry, History of art, History of music, Computer science, Maths, Sports, Physics, Ethics, Religious education and Geography. It is just too much. And, take it from me, for I have spoken with a lot of highly educated people who finished some of their schooling here or in Slovenia, and then moved to the USA, European scools ARE harder...definitely not better!

Dinotiggy, I take you are talking about the time I gave you that for French, it was my mothers money so I didn't care and anyway you know I hate French!

Bekki was entertaining though, wouldn't have happened if we were allowed to wear trousers... I hate uniform!

The_Prophet - When I was 17 I only had four subjects - all sciences (english A Levels). By that point we have chosen to specialise in a small no. of subjects (compare to a Bac for eg)

I the least luckly. I'm only in Gr. 6 so I still got lots of school to go. Also my teacher is so mean. Me and my class do drama and Gym all day and then she gives us at least 3 hours homework. At least in Gr. 7 I get the 'nice' teacher in my school.
