okay, so i look for the baldur.ini file in TOTSC by the simplest way possible, just going to my computer and right clicking and exploring the file, but no baldur.ini file shows up, do i have to re install the game or something? i installed the recommended version. please inform me on how to fix this problem

I'm a bit lost. Did you explore the Baldur's Gate folder in the computer's Hard Disk, or in the TOTSC CD?

You will not find it in the CDs. The file is created during installation.

Can you find any other .ini files in the Baldur's Gate folder? There should be one named "keymap.ini" IIRC.

It should be in C:bad:Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate, or whatever you changed the installation path to. It's also possible that the game doesn't create the ini file until after you run the game for the first time, but I doubt it. It could also be that your computer regards ini files as system files, and is hiding them from you because of that. You'd have to go into your folder options and tell it to show you the system files.
