CLUA Shar'teel crashes me!

    Remove all ads!
    Shar'teel got herself killed in that battle with Daevorn. As it happened I used gatekeeper on the save file before bringing her back. Her portrait was lit up, but everything else was as if she was dead. So I tried dropping her and using the console to bring her back in. It worked just fine until I tried to save. After I get her back in the party the game crashes mid save.

    What exactly did you do to the save with Gatekeeper?

    I had just finished with Daevorn, but somewhere along the lines I lost the thief potion I'd brought along, so I couldn't open the chests. I just went in to crank up Coran's lock pick stats temporarily, because I didn't want to waste 20 minutes going to and from the cloakwood to get another from my stash. That's all I touched.

    I've had that problem when I used the CLUA console to bring in other characters. No matter who I brought it, when I would save or go to another area, the game would crash.

    You can't call the result of anything you do through the console a bug. The console was never meant to be used during gameplay, only for testing. There are usually dozens of different versions of every character in the game files, most of which won't work in the game. So you just had bad luck in brining in a problematic one. And GateKeeper in conjunction with the console is just asking for trouble.

    I'm not sure in your case if it makes any difference but what code did you use to bring back Shar-Teel?

    (for instance Shar-Teel has i believe four codes: shartd, sharte, sharte4, sharte6)
