[IMG] I don't really know everything about AD&D rules, but after playing the campaign (level 17 Rogue), I really wish that they are less treasure chest, barrels etc lying around. Why? Because I'm in Chapter 3 and I already have 400k of gold. Maybe I could just buy myself an army of orc, nightelves, undead (no warcraft pun intended) and beat the crap out of Morag!

I would suggest that more goodies to be place on peasant, door guards so that it'll make my pickpocket skill more worthwhile.

I know that the campaign is made so that any class you play will give you the approximate amount of progress and enjoyment, but I feel an unbalance should exist between that. A rogue should end the game financially sound but not for a blabbling dumb ogre barbarian!

I also hope that the game force a character to forsake some treasures and grief in regret just because he cannot pick a lock or learn no knock spell. No point for me to pick the lock painstakingly and then a stupid ranger juz stand there and shoot his arrow and get everything!

Lastly, I really hope that poor farmer would at least pick up his sickle and whack me when he sees me trying to make off with his entire savings! Learn from Morrowind!

Heh, seems like I spout quite a LOT of nonsense from a rogue point of view. I'm not being unfair to other class. I just don't want the world to call me a R-O-G-U-E for nothing while you goody paladin gets the same loots as ME!

    Ciao!

I agree with you transcendentally. It is kinda funny when that after replying that you cannot accept their money and getting that little alignment bonus toward good, you can take their money under their nose and get away with it. There are no consequences. They don’t care, they like you, you who politely refused their money.

While the charismatic based skill Persuasion has been simplified (bluff and diplomacy as one), they kept all the thief-type rogue skills: disable trap(disable device), hide, open lock and move silently, hence you still need to invest in 4 skills while you cannot nearly use them as often as other more useful skills. And we lost a lot of cool skills such as Climbing which enable you to get where you should not be. On top of that, the fact that there is no point in stealing is not very pleasant. I think the rogue class is not well implemented at all in NWN (in the single player campaign). I would have liked to see that dumb ogre hunting wolves to sell the furs in order to buy a sword. ;)

I found it funny as well that my fighter could open a chest and steal all the gold from a home with the homeowner watching with no penalty.

Hopefully I can fix my mod so that wont happen :)
