There's a new patch out so you should get that, but it probably won't make any difference regarding the random crashes. I've had those when starting the game and during the game when I was still using Windows 98, but I never managed to find the cause of the problem. Are you getting any error messages when the game crashes?

I don' get any messages.. it just frezes and I can only reset my computer.
I'll get new patch now and try it. Maybe it would help but I doubt. I've red what can be fixed with it but such a problem isn't mentioned.

I've also noticed that on some levels game works fine but then goes wrong after some time of playing.
Nothing can help. If I format my drive and run game on clean new installation of win98se it won't do. Again after some time of playing (New game) it starts to CRASH.
Maybe there is a problem playing on win98.
The game fps is OK on this computer and speed&graphics makes me no trouble.
Actually I have dual sistem (w98 v.s. XP) and run games only on w98se. Only 256MB ram can't do much on XP.
2 players on another forum send me a post with the same problem so it seems like I'm not the only one with it.

Sounds like a video driver and/or video RAM issue to me. Check your Windows error logs and see what failed. You can also try lowering the video quality setting in the game (set it to "fastest" and the smallest tileset available) and see if that helps.

Edit to add: It also seems to me that Win98SE can't make full use of RAM beyond 128 MB, which could be another problem. WinME added the full functionality of 256 MB of RAM. In Win98SE, the additional RAM count causes the system to expand the page file, so that you begin to use more page memory and less RAM, making the system less efficient that with only 128 MB of RAM. Try fixing the size of your page file at a small number rather than letting Windows control it. That may give you better performance, since RAM is much faster than page memory. Personally, I'd just try running it on XP...

I have the same problem, but am running it on XP, trying the patch to see if it will fix it. I believe it may have something to do with the video settings as well.
