I cant decide which henchman to have. Tomi, or the cleric Linu. Im a fighter duelwielding axes, and tomi's arrows areusefull, but im thinking cleric spells may be even better. thanks

The question is whether you like eating all those traps and having to bash locks. That's really what Tomi brings to the table. For a pure combat role, I'd think Linu was better due to the healing capabilities and her better fighting stats.

I'm playing a fighter as well and I use Sharwyn the bard. Her melee and archery skills are useful, as is her pick locks. She also throws around a bunch of spells, which may or may not be all that useful but don't hurt at least. :)

You have to switch between Henchmen. It depends on the quest wich henchman is the best. Take a rogue when you have to go through a maze or have to steal something, go for a cleric or fighter when you have to slash some monsters.... It also depends on what race you play....

But doing that would damage your relationship with your henchman. Since you can only advance their tale everytime you level up with their presence in the part, you would have to level quite a bit to get their tales.

Of course, that's only if you are really 'roleplaying'.

Don't underestimate Tomi in melee, either. On several occasions while my dwarven tank goes toe to toe with the bad guy, Tomi has slipped in and done some pretty devastating sneak attacks.

With Sharwyn as a bard, you can get her to learn healing spells, that way, you have healing spells, pick locks/traps, and tankish character.

Yeah, but she usually has to use them on herself. ;)

Is there any romancing in NWN? With one of those "henchmen" for example? In the beginning you can make a date with one of the apprentices, but seems they´ll die no matter what you do.

There is romancing in NWN, but I don't know with who or how it works.

I have the ideal party now :). A sorcerer with a pixie familiar (= rogue. she can detect and remove traps and open locks), a summoned Dire Bear (= fighter) and Linu, the cleric henchman. Works like a charm :).

Ok, so there´s romancing. Well in addition to propmting anyone with further information about the darkess in the game, I´d also like to know how race -restricted those romances will be? Can I romance with a halfling and if, which races/characters? Or how does this work with half-ogres, dwarves etc.
