[IMG] why does everybody think pure warrior parties are useless? i have a party of 3 drarven fighters (2 melee, 1 ranged), 2 half-elven rangers (2 melee) and 1 paladin (ranged), and i gotten through the game, almost no probs. i've reloaded several times in the game, and i've rested so many times that i've spent 4,000 days playing, but many of those came from the beginning of the game. by the end of chapter 3, fighters change from efficient killing machines to very efficient killing machines. i just finished maiden illmadia, and i didn't reload. i think i now have a party of nearly unstoppable massacrers. :)
notice i have *no* mages or theives.
oh, and i used *no* trainers or hacks

Heh. I like that party! I've considered many different types of parties, but I think the next time I go through IWD, I'm going to go with an all warrior group, though I might make room for a thief. So the group would be like 2 dwarven fighters, an elven ranger, and a fighter/thief of some sort just to disarm traps and scout enemies. The two dwarves would of course be the tanks, while the Ranger and F/T specialized in ranged attack, with the ability to switch to melee should the need arrive.

Still unsure, though. I may end up just going with a party of 4 dwarven fighters. :)

I have the highest respect for Fighters! But a entire party of fighters?.... Best of luck to you, but not for me. Uhh, perhaps a bit 'limiting'. I have some passing opinions why I feel that a pure fighter pary is lacking however that OF COURSE I'm gonna' share!

If you observe the parties 'looking for your blood' that you fight against in BG & IWD you always find Fighters, Clerics, Mages etc in these parties. Even in the BIG end fight with Sarevok you find... Mages, Fighers, etc... The strengths of the classes in 'cooperation' make a most devestating force. Just my thoughts. Likewise a 'versatile' offense can pick apart a 'no depth' defense.

Yxunomei would be a breeze if it was just her and 8 fighters. But a bit more challenging with the addition of her Clerics along with her Fighters & Archers. -Yep more depth. Just think if she had wizards too? DAMNNN!
