How do you get clerics to write their spells when I right-click on the scroll there is no "write magic" button. Are they not able to get new spells or am I doing something wrong. Thanks for the help.

As opposed to mages, clerics always receive any spells they are entitled to when they gain the appropriate level; scrolls just enable you to cast spells you cannot cast normally (yet).

Clerics don't write spells like mages do, so that simply isn't an option. They receive their spells as "gifts" from their deity. Now I have no idea how it's decided which spells are available to you in the game, they just appear when you advance.

The only thing I have to all is that Druid's get some different priest spells and Clerics. In addition your WIS affects how many spells you get.

I thought WIS only affected how many spells a priest can memorize (pray for, whatever), not which spells you get

Thanks for the info guys. A cleric wisdom just gives them bonus slots to memorize the spells and they are all added up togther which is nice.

IWD is like a nice DM who chooses to give you all available spells per level. I have played tabletop D&D with DMs who pick a handful of priest spells to give you, and you have to play within your alignment and within your deity's favor to get more.

I understand in cRPG's it's tough to make that distinction, especially since one person is essentially playing the entire party and there isn't any character-based interaction (save for a few extra bard tidbits in Easthaven) unlike traditional cRPG where each player determines his/her own path.

there are two class-based 'interactions' in Kuldahar that i know of. Have a cleric talk to a few townspeople, talk about the church. try it w/a druid as well and ask about the Tree. (the later did not work for me w/ my Fighter/Druid)
