    Greetings

The Ingress quest disappeared from my quest log and it seems I can't reactivate it. I've tried going through all dialog options with Ingress again to no avail and talking with Candrian shows no dialog options related to her. Any idea on how I could resolve this? Is there some savegame editor that goes into the game variables? I'm afraid this bug will "spread" into other quests.

    Cheers

I downloaded Infinity Explorer 0.8pre, I'll be looking into the variables there. Still if someone knows for sure which variables control this quest please reply. Thanks.

Ok found a number of variables with "Ingress" in their designation, but only one simply named ingress seems to be relevant. That variable is set as follows: INGRESS 3
Now how do I edit the variable? Infinity explorer seems to be a read only app. I tried hex editing the .gam file but it seems that the data is organized into a table so all the "name" cells are listed one after the other, followed by all the "data" cells, making the access to the relevant cell pretty difficult. Any ideas?

This sounds like a pretty strange problem.

Are the running the 1.1 patch? If it isn't fixed in that version, try installing the fixpack from here and starting the quest again (hopefully you've got a save from beforehand). The fixpack may mend the quest mid-flow, if it's just a missing dialogue string, but it'd be safer to restart if possible.

    Hi Rhetorical Question?,

Yes I am running v1.1 final with the two unofficial fixpacks mentioned in the page you qouted, and I installed all these three updates before playing the game. I've also tried removing the override folder from the game location just to eliminate the possibility of the problem coming from there.
I do not doubt that replaying would render me bugless but that isn't really an option, I'd have to backtrack quite a bit, and I'm sure there must be some way of editing the variables... only if that proves impossible will I give up on this and practically restart the game.

Still, all input is welcome, keep it coming.

    Cheers

Even if you can't get it fixed, the Ingress quest probably isn't worth restarting for. Ir's got a nice reward, but it's far from necessary.

Ok problem solved. I found an infinity engine editor called Near Infinity and set with it the Ingress variable to zero, after which I re-initiated the dialog with her and recovered the quest entry.

    Cheers

Ingres Quest gives you Ingress teeth though, best weapon for morte in the game. So id call it rather interesting :)

Could be fun to play without them sometome though.
