    Strange that he, his wife and dog all found dead but no foul play suspected. Must be some kind of accident like CO poisoning or somesuch.

    I don't know which US state this was in, but apparently the penalties for animal cruelty vary widely from one state to another. In some all you're on the hook for is a fine, whereas in others it could land you in prison. So it's possible killing the dog could barely register on the "foul play" scale.

    He died in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I'm sure the laws out west are pretty lax compared to my shitty north eastern states :beer:

    New Mexico. I thought I had read they were all found together, but now I'm reading that they were found in different rooms and the dog was in a closet. So the dog could have died from dehydration since it appears they had been dead for a while. Looks like pills were found around the wife. Seems like a complicated situation.
