Well, maybe I'm the only one left. Unique circumstances, I had the system specs to play BG1 but not quite enough to play PT. Became an obsessive addict of BG1. And by the time I did get a computer that could handle PT, BG2 and the new addiction came out. What can I say?

Dice, are you playing the Enhanced Edition? It's a significant improvement over the original in terms of playing it comfortably on today's systems.

Yeah, I got the Enhanced Edition. I haven't played too much of it so far because I went away for Christmas. I'm back now though and ready to give it a go.

I have a question, is this out of the box thinking when it involves using the box?
I just had a request from my mom to fix one of her kitchen chars where one of the rungs popped out.
I never figured out a way to use clamps to hold the rung in place until the glue dried (this has happened to all four of the chairs now over the years), but I found the toolbox fits perfectly on top of the legs of the chair. So I stick the heavy toolbox that weighs at least 20lbs on top of the legs until the glue dries.
Is that out of the box thinking, or would you call that thinking with the box rather than within the box thinking?

I believe that there is no box, if you are truly trying to achieve that state of mind. You seem very good at problem solving, home improvement and overthinking things.

But I'm using the box to push down on the leg of the chair! How can there be no box?
Anyways, I was just mussing on the fact that there was nothing in my toolbox to solve the problem, but the solution was the box itself. So that made me wonder if that was "out of box" thinking.

Just wondering since this seems to be an international board, when job searching, is it common practice where you live for recruiters to call you and send you a 3+ page "right to represent" form while you are on the phone with them, then expect you to reply with "I agree" or "I confirm" IMMEDIATELY, RIGHT NOW before giving you a chance to read it?
Then they get impatient when you are reading it while they are on the phone?

It seems to be the standard practice, and I'm a bit paranoid about agreeing to something blindly with a staffing company I haven't worked for in the past.
My uncle John is a lawyer and he was always drilling into me and the rest of the kids in the family to never sign something without reading it (this was before Eternal September) so I make a point to read any contract or agreement fully before replying with "I agree".
I'm wondering if it's different in other countries where they seem to expect you to sign or agree to these things without giving you time to read them.

I can safely say I’ve never been in that boat with a recruiter.

Normal issues I have are them either not actually bothering to read my CV so offering me something completely inappropriate, refusing to provide any details of the role unless I have a long phone call with them whilst I’m at work, or occasionally even trying to recruit me for a role at my current employer.

An RTR contract gives a recruiter the exclusive right to represent you at a company (or a list of companies) for the purposes of recruitment. While this is usually pretty standard fare, it can contain clauses that may be detrimental to your job search. In most cases, you're better off contacting companies on your own, since a recruiter's job is usually just to get as many viable candidates for an employer, and they don't care about your best interests. This is also why they'll often try to make things as vague as possible or force you to immediately sign an RTR so that you can't skip them and just go to the company directly.

If they're forcing you to agree on the spot, it means that there's either something shady going on, or they're being lazy and don't want to invest their time into their clients. Either way, you probably want to avoid recruiters like that. If they're not willing to call you back after you've taken the time to read the contract or if they don't want to answer any relevant questions regarding the contracts or the jobs, then just tell them, "no, thank you," and move on with your day.

I've noticed that if they give a company name, the position is not usually listed on their website so I'm unsure how to apply directly given that these days everybody wants you to go through their website.

    Random bit of humor.
I normally see 2-3 school buses and usually a Pace bus on my way to work.
On Friday I saw 7 school buses and the Pace bus.
The really funny thing, I saw all 7 of those buses on Busse Road.
