Does Prismatic Spray work for anyone? It never does anything for me. I target something and it goes off with the pretty colors but no damage or effect ever happens. There is no message saying the save was made to avoid the non-damage effect nor does it say anything about damage/effect being taken. Doesn't matter what I cast it at so it's not magic resistance.
    Anyone have input?

I had the same problem, but I never wanted to find a solution because I was too lazy. In that case bump, I will gladly find out
I'm lazy and I like to buy items quickly, I usually buy Rocket League Crates and RL Items (cheap crates and ACCELERATOR CRATE ITEM)...

    On whom?
Enemies of above 8 HD should not be affected by Blindness and some of the other effects only happen if the enemy does not make his saving throw:

    That is for 3.5 though.
BG2EE is 2nd edition isn't it? They should still take the damage though shouldn't they regardless of if they make their save vs. the effects part?

The spell has not changed much:
    http://baldursgate.wikia.com/wiki/Prismatic_Spray

Not all creatures are affected by all colours, only by either 1 or 2 of the colours and if they happen to get a colour with a "save to get nothing" effect...

I can go with that but NEVER doing anything? The saves are for the effects or to take only half damage? I've never seen any damage. I've looked multiple times just to see that it's working and it NEVER does anything. I love the spell but if it's not working it's a sad day for me

The damage is only dealt if the target get’s red, orange or yellow colour. The other colours from green to violet have effects that are negated by a sucessfull save (e.g. not being turned to stone by blue colour).

I realize that but those 3 still do no damage and it can't have EVERYTHING not get effected by ANY of the rays. They can't ALL be making saves to avoid the effects and damage

Do an experiment. I don't have the EE version, but I imagine that summoned monsters still go hostile when they are hit by you.

So, use a monster summoning I spell (or 4 or 5 of such spells or the wand equivalent), surround your stoneskinned mage with layers of low level summons, hit one to turn them red, and then fire away with Prismatic Spray and see what happens.

Should tell you if there are issues.

Well I tried that but for some reason the monsters wont turn hostile. So I keep trying it on encounters and now for some reason it is working. One of those things that work/don't work when you say it doesn't/does and you tell someone about it I guess.

And thanks for the help too :)
